I am still convinced the Avalanche sold their hockey soul back in 2000 when they acquired Bourque. The deal was "one hockey soul for one Stanley Cup win for the Avs & Bourque".

LOL I might actually start believing in that the way this injuries keep coming up for this team
Nashville fans were pretty pleased with him last year, and many were disappointed they didn't bring him back. He was a bit of a loose cannon when he was younger, but he's been under 100 PIM's the last two years. He's calmed down a bit.
Maybe, maybe not but I won't be convinced until the end of the year. Emery has changed too but I still consider him a cancer until he proves otherwise.

Not only are you wrong that Emery hasn't proved otherwise, but you also fall into the trap prevalent in this website that tried and true NHL players are worse than unknown quantities that young kids bring. I'm not saying you don't need young kids on the roster but too many folks want to rush them into an NHL roster. A good team needs vets and size to win consistently. I would've had absolutely no problems with the AVs getting Emery this summer. Not as the #1 with Budaj as a backup but as a tandem with either Varly or Jiggy I would've been fine. I'm not second guessing our situation either, I think it was an expensive but a justifiable risk. I also have no problems SOB. There is not one team in the NHL that at some point in the season wishes they had a 5-7th dman of his "skills."
I'm curious about the nature of Rissmiller's injury (back). He hasn't stepped on the ice with the Avs because of it, so it must've happended prior to camp. But than why sign him UFA in July if he was injured? .. sure its only a 1 year 525k contract, but to the Avs thats huge

I didn't say Elliot or Barrie are better than SOB but yes, I would rather have one of them in the lineup instead of him. Hell I'd rather have Hunwick in the lineup then SOB. I just don't like him. Apparently Nashville and Vancouver don't agree with you.

Pretty sure he was just signed as a vet forward for LEM, and perhaps a reliable callup for the playoffs or something. No risk/mild reward type situation.
I know the past couple of years have been grim injury-wise, but please don't go "here we go again" just because we have a few minor injuries. It's perfectly normal that players get banged up a bit in pre-season.
Half the teams in the league probably has worse injury situations than we do at the moment.

Certainly no reason to think we're guaranteed to continue the injury bug, but I think a few here we go again comments are perfectly normal considering Av fans are a bit shellshocked with injuries.

Apparently you have something in common with Charlie Sheen..your version of winning doesn't match up with everyone else's.
At this point in the season we both appear like spoiled children...but seriously....come February...who would you rather have SOB?? Or Hunwick?? It's really a slam dunk.
I really don't recall calling you out on anything...or are you the guy that was suggesting Emery isn't worth a damn until he wins a Stanley Cup? In that case I do have a conversation I'd very much like to have with you in public...if you prefer to be put into your place in private we can do that to. Either way, just say the word.

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about anymore. I just don't like players with attitude problems on the avs team. Especially when they're not really good in the first place.
We'll see who's worse between Hunwick and SOB come February, when SOB is taking retarded penalties. I honestly expect SOB to be the 7th man by midseason.
"I knew right away, when I got injured, that it wasn't going to be anything serious," Hejda said. "I've worked hard to get back in a week, and we've got great trainers here who have really helped me. So I would like to play in a couple preseason games (before the season opener Oct. 8)."

I'm not positive, but I think the "attitude" problems with SOB were more about him just being an idiot rather than not getting along with people. He had a partier attitude and allegedly has undisciplined. He wasn't a dividing presence.
