They do have 3 injury with the team right now and 4 with Hishon but hes in LE
Anyone have any updates on Hishon? is he still recovering from the concussion? during the summer it sounded like he was going to be ready for camp, but since then I haven't heard much.
I don't get the hate for Yip. Yeah, the wheels fell off last season, but he showed some huge potential in his first 30 games or so. Given the teams improvements up front with the addition of Landeskog, Lindstrom, and Kobasew, its not like Yip will be forced to play top 2 line minutes if he cannot keep up. He also won't end up on the 4th line by default due to having better bottom two line depth. The reason he was forced into those roles even when playing poorly last season was simply due to injury...not due to some blind faith by the coaching staff.
Give him 10-14 days to get conditioning back with the Monsters after getting healthy, then if his game is not horrible, call him up for a couple of games and see if he works with Duchene or Stastny.
Worst case, he is not and improvement over Lindstrom or Kobasew on the top 2 lines. Best case, he regains his scoring touch/luck from year 1.

Stop it, you're bringing out the Yip fan in me that I have repressed. No one should be optimistic about him at all, it'll have me calling for him to get top line minutes
I agree. Lindstrom should stick around till Mueller comes back then get sent down.
Problem is they wont send Kobasew down with him making over a million for this year and next, just 16 games into his contract.
Keep in mind Lindstrom is signed to a one-way deal, meaning he gets paid the same no matter what. I am assuming he remains waiver exempt, whereas Kobascrew isn't. Sadly, that'll likely be the deciding factor.

Not necessarily. Per Ledin was on a one way and they kept him down in Erie all year.
