I saw a projected line-up posted with 1 extra D and 1 extra F for the Caps and a 20 player roster for Nashville, I'll see if I can find it again. (n/m w/original post edits)

Hey guys, first off my home team are the Preds but the Caps are my mistress team. I've never had the chance to support the Caps in person, therefore for tonight's game I will be Rocking the Red in my Caps jersey at Bridgestone. I am the enemy in my circle of friends today . Good luck tonight, let no one get hurt!
I'll also be in DC area in January, going to try and make it to a Caps home game.
i dont think its that hard to project the opening day lineup and/or the projected playoff lineup(two different things) by looking at the preseason lineup.
part of it is who is playing with who. seems to me that boudreau is leaning toward schultz-green and hamrlik-wideman. i get that from the preseason. conversely laich on the wing is more about that perreault, eakin, and sjogren are all playing center in the same game with quality wingers next to them(except eakin if king is playing).
this game is far more about the three centers vying for a roster spot than laich getting reps at wing.
Perreault is totally going to make this team. Good for him. Even if it's only as the 13th/14th forward (which might be best, anyway, if he can only string five or six good games together at a time before going cold).
