So far here are my thoughts;

Back-end to forwards lots of key decisions. In goal Reimer looks great, as for backup if the Monster plays a full 60 tonight and does not impress I give backup to Scrivens. Most impressive rookie goes to Jake Gardiner, poise reminicent of Kaberle, wheels like Kessel crazy. Its between Gardiner, Komisarek, Aulie and Gunnarsson for final spot. Right now; if Gardiner keeps it up I see he and Gunnar making it. Aulie has struggled and Komi has been ok.

Kadri finally looks like he will make it straight out of camp, Frattin looks like he is walking a fine line with making the club (unless Kadri flops rest of camp) Boyce probably secured spot after coming back from Shelley hit, BUT Dupuis looked great in the games he has played in. So Ronnie and Burke have some hard decisions as they have admitted coming up.

So, Phaneuf, Liles, Schenn, Franson are locks, according to you. If bolded are battling for final spot, who got 5th? Lashoff or Finger?

PS: Just saw you have 6 posts. Congrats to HF pal!

So Buffalo is missing Roy, Vanek and Pominville up front. Hopefully our suspect D tonight can take advantage of that.

Yes Phaneuf, Liles, Schenn, Franson are locks in my books.....Komi is probably too due to expereince so then....Gardiner, Gunnar, Aulie....and from what ive seen so far Gardiner and Gunnar. Fun time of year its great to see competition within the lineup.

They're mixing up the centres, making a big cut tomorrow presumably. That's what preseason is for, presumably. Experimenting with and exposing your less experienced players

I think they should try a kadri-grabo-kuli.

They know what Connolly can do. They've given looks to those players who can crack the roster. Now that they've pretty much established the opening night roster, they're placing guys in spots where they might play if they're called up.

That's why we saw Frattin in Army's spot and now Colbourne in Connolly's spot. In case either of those players goes down they want to see if these guys have some chemistry.

I think 1 game is very small sample to see if they have chemistry together.

I agree. At least for a preseason game. Just because MacA has good chemistry with those 2 doesn't mean Naz won't at all.

Well then these kids better come prepared. Camp isn't very long to make predictions about players, but they have to make an impact with the time they're given or they're gone.

- Nice to see Kenny Ryan getting a game
- Looks like Boyce is ahead of Dupuis getting moved up to the 3rd line with Bozak out
- Would have liked to see Blacker get one more game, but guess he did not do enough game 1 for a second
- Would like to see Schenn paired with someone with a little foot speed. If Wilson plans on playing him with Liles he needs to get adjusted
- Hope Scrivens gets a whole game soon

Someone mentioned either earlier in this thread or in another one that Jesse has a minor lower body injury or something along those lines.

You watch a game on Sportsnet then you watch on CBC...the difference is night and day.
