Team looked really tired tonight for the most part, and obviously our best guys weren't dressed. Not a bad effort, all things considered. Buffalo played well once again. They're an impressive team to watch. Everyone always just seems to be fully aware of where their teammates are and as a result they usually make pretty safe plays. They're also really strong along the boards considering how they're one of the smaller teams in the league up front.
Gardiner, Frattin and Grabovski were impressive tonight, though.

1. Gardiner remains unreal. Tough to watch if he is sent down.
2. Frattin looks NHL ready. I hope he gets the spot. Deserves it.
3. Grabo is a fighter.
4. We better fix our PK. 4 PP goals against in 2 games is simply unacceptable
Now, on to the regular squad. Just tweak a bit with D's and between Frattin/Kadri.
Gardiner, Gusto, and Grabo were the only real bright spots.
Frattin showed us a bit more tonight, but I don't think enough to crack the squad. Maybe enough to get himself another preseason game, though.
Agreed. Frattin had his best game tonight, for me he hasn't beaten out Kadri for a spot, but according to Burke there is more than one spot available, so both of these guys could potentially make it.
Other teams have bandwagon fans after a good season, we have bandwagon's that jump on and off after every game, every period, every shot, and every pass.
It's a preseason game, we're missing Kessel/Phaneuf pretty much our best forward and our best D, while Buffalo played 5/6 D their best forward and a good back up goalie.
Just preseason boys, win or loss, we're trying a few things..all I know is that Jake Gardiner is Frrrrreaking amazing.. I don't know how this guy does it...blazing speed even after playing so many games this past week.
In one play he pinched, got a shot off, and got back to center ice and stole the puck all in the span of 5 seconds. I really think whatever he needs to learn needs to be taught in the NHL. Our best D by a mile.

Frattin showed he has some speed... that rush with Grabovski (?) looked good.
Also, he doesn't get knocked off the puck as easily as Kadri does.
Where did this Gardiner kid come from?!?! Looks poised and confident every shift, looks good offensively and defensively. Grabovski was a beast, I didn't know how fast he could be, he was flying out there. Kadri for all his big words wasn't so big on the ice.
