Not a bad pick up at all for the 7th round though; any time you can get someone in the 7th round for B- potential I consider it a steal.
I got Spencer Walsh, 7th round, 210th overall (the last one), an american. Potential? B! I was like ommmmg.

How did he turn out? If he turned out well, then that gives me faith that I'll have the Marcel Mueller of Finland.

He became a good right wing in his first two seasons even if he was on the third line.

But, I just losing him at the moment because he was a RFA and Ottawa made an offer. I had not enough cap space.

I got a first and second round pick but it still sucks. He was the third with the highest value of trade even at 23 years old.

One time during my Canes franchise I drafted Ernest Fedoruk who was the same as the player you mentioned 15th overall and he wasn't one either.

Started a new season. Somehow, the Oilers are still in last place in 2015, but lose the lottery to the Coyotes and draft a franchise C. 85 B B- B 19 years old. Lance Legein.

Do you play on ps3 or 360? Because simulations on PS3 take about twice as long than on 360

Just to clarify the Sept 17th thing; can you save/load for a new draft class prior to that date??
I'm guessing you have to wait until 2014/2015 to get a newly created group of prospects as well?

What's the Sept 17th thing exactly? I don't know what people are saying when they talk about this thing.

@ SPV - No to the saving for new class, yes to when new prospects start coming.

@ Mover - That's when draft projections come out. It'll say who will be top5/10, etc.

I drafted Lund in the 2015 draft from the WHL and I just checked scout central to see another franchise D-man from the WHL!

I've been trying this Sept 17th thing for a while. Nothing. I'm in the 2020-2021 season and have yet to see one.

Anyone have a screenshot to prove that there is actually franchise players?

IF your scouting is ranked high enough, occasionally they will provide you with more information right off the bat than normal - ie. There will be 10 or 11 guys that are ranked "top 5" and about 20 ranked "top 10", and occasionally a guy ranked "franchise".

But most often than not, you don't find out until you scout them and their regions extensively (6 weeks and then some), in order to get a good idea of what's going on in that region.

Think about it logically - there are player projections a full year before the draft, and things change; players play better in junior than others, scouts get in and do some work on players and find out strengths and weaknesses, and as time goes on player projections change. You have to do the scouting work

Haven't gotten to the draft yet.

I lumber my way through the season doing the manual sim and intervening in games in the 3rd period if I can steal a W. It's a good way to get through the season quickly but still play games with all the new players I add to my team. Usually takes me a week or so to finish a season depending on how often I play.

When I started the season and actually started to scout the "franchise" player, he changed to "top 5"...is that normal?
