CBJ fan coming in peace...

How has Filatov looked? Has he earned a spot in the top 6? I had hoped for his success in Columbus but it never materialized. Hopefully he's more mature and less Diva and ready to work. I'd like to see him do well and really think the line of Filatov Spezza and Michalek coudl work well for him. He never had a center like Spezza in Columbus.

Good luck this year. Hope your growing pains are nearly like those of Edmonton or even us here in Columbus. Thanks for any feedback.

I hope zibby goes to the AHL after his 9 game stint, move da costa into 2nd line YES I know zibby is ALMOST ready for the NHL, but he still needs development in the AHL IMO.

1 - Alfie
2 - Spezza
3 - EK
4 - Filatov
5 - Michalek
6 - Gonchar
7 - Regin
8 - Cowen
9 - Phillips
10 - Neil
11 - Butler
12 - Lee
13 - Konopka
14 - Smith
15 - Greening
16 - Filigno
17 - Carkner
18 - Rundblad
19 - Condra
20 - Winchester
21 - Zbad
22 - Da Costa
23 - Kuba

Just my personal opinion. The reason for rating Rundblad, Zbad and Da Costa so low is due to my personal uncertainty on whether they'll be in the big team come opening night, and then if they can follow it up for at least a few months...

Kuba, well, do I need to explain?

It's NHL or Sweden unfortunately.

He can't, it's SEL or NHL.

I'm a big fan of Foligno as well.

Zibanejad looks more NHL ready than Regin or Da Costa to me. No need to send him down when he's going to get top 6 minutes on Ottawa -- I say it's better for his development to stay up.

Muray said on the team today that Zibanejad was centering for alfie this weekend

assuming forward lines to be

Michalek - Spezza - Butler
Filatov - Zibanejad - Alfie
Greening - smith Condra
Foligno - Konopka - Neil

filatov and michalek maybe switched and greening and foligno maybe switched? does that sound about right?

The lines for Friday pending Regin's injury have already been decided:

Michalek-Spezza-Filatov
Greening-Zibanejad-Alfie
Foligno-Smith-Neil
Condra-Konopka-Butler

The lines from practice today might be a slightly more accurate indicator.

Michalek-Spezza-Filatov
Greening-Zibanejad-Alfie
Foligno-Smith-Neil
Condra-Konopka-Butler

I have a feeling that the wake-up call will extend to at least the first game.

Also, Regin's status is still up in the air. Murray mentioned today that although Regin didn't skate today, he (Regin) wanted to and it looks like he'll be back on the ice tomorrow or the next day, aiming for a weekend return.

I have a feeling that if Regin play's...he'll take Michalek's spot and we'll see either Butler or Condra scratched
