AK looked good on the point. He was keen to back down when Bs got the puck, you can see he doesn't want to be a liability

I would like to see that as well.

Wonder what his chances are at actually playing in Montreal this year? Would PG and Martin be willing to take that chance?

I hope so, I don't mind seeing the kids. But it's time for our real line up to start getting some time together.

If I recall, Martin and Timmins (on separate occasions) didn't exactly shoot down the idea of him making the team.

Wish I remembered where I read the Martin bit from. Someone posted a recap of a conversation they had with Timmins on here yesterday.

Definitely, but only in a crunch. Like an emergency call up.

If you find it, post it up.

With DD fighting the often injured bug, Gallagher playing in Montreal would make very good sense.

I wonder if Gallagher making it would have any impact of Desharnais' future.

I know it's a long shot for Gallagher, but he doeesn't look out of place in the slighest. Great puck protection, has the heart and the awareness.

Makes you wonder how this happens, and they should be concerned.

It comes form the listless lineups we're using. Trust me. All will be fine when we cut about 30 of these guys. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again, these lineups are absolutely killing me.

A 9 game audition isn't going to hurt Gallagher. It is a good measuring stick, and also gives the kid that much more confidence if sticks after the 9th game or not.

What bothers me is that we are not even playing units of 3 together or d-pairs. What is up with that?

We have three games left, and we are not playing the below lines:
Cammy/Plek/Cole
Pacioretty/Gomez/Gionta

I know Eller, Desharnais, White all injured affect our bottom two lines, but we are unable to form chemistry. What is the point of playing Cole with Enqvist, or Plekanec with Palushaj? Come on JM...I imagine tomorrow will be another terrible line-up to watch, which only gives us 2 games.

I don't think they really care what fans think, they have guys injured and don't want to wear out their vets. In about 10 days nobody will remember who won any preaseason games.

Also, let's not forget the injuries to Nash, Markov and Subban(latter two are not prospects, but would have given the defensive side of the game some structure) which would have given some of these lineups a little more structure and not as errant and lost. There was one or two defensive verterns every game. Defense will be sloppy when that happens.
What about Kristo? I also kinda expected to see Cichy this preseason.

I believe Kristo is in school and wasn't planned on playing this pre-season.

Nash, Leblanc, Bournival, Eller would have given this pre-season a much higher quality of competition. Unfortunately injuries are apart of the game.

Don't know about you guys, but I'm really not impressed by Weber. Been watching him last few games and don't like his play at all. For now, I'd definitely play Yemelin over him.

They cannot play in these games as they are considered pro games, they would lose their amateur status.

Oh I agree, these results don't reflect the value of the Habs. But it is not surprising to see us lose and beat up when you look at our roster at the moment. Hence why I can't wait for the cuts...
