3rd in the league at the moment. Larsson's assist yesterday was a good one, protected the puck nicely.

Ah, I'd been wondering because he's from my hometown. His sister was a friend of my sister growing up.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet, but Zucker had both Denver goals on Saturday night.

Edit: NVM, I didn't go back far enough. Gopher got it.

From HF's WCHA preview, Gwozdecky talking about Zucker...

Quote:
I know that Jason is a guy that is very hungry to continue to improve. He knows that as good a year as he had last year, there are still some things that he wants to get better at, whether they are defensive things or offensively. Jason's worked extremely hard this summer in working with the puck in tight and in traffic. He's also worked a lot on his shot, which has definitely improved, especially in one-timing the puck. You can see the effort that Jason is making in getting better at his defensive awareness as well. Those are such little things, but for someone who is as gifted as Jason is, to want to become a more complete player, that's a very mature approach to his game. And you can tell that he's going to have a profound effect on our lineup this year.
I'm calling it...35 goals, 60+ points

Whenever I think of Zucker, I always think of Zach Parise.

Does Zucker remind any of you guys of Parise?

Yes. But don't say that outside of this board or we'll all be called crazy.

I want a Wild Zucker jersey so damn bad...

i haven't had that thought once...I think Zucker is a little more physical and a little less finesse.

Through three guys.

I'm calling it, Coyle + Philips + Setoguchi for Burns + 2nd is going to be one of the best trades in Minnesota's history for sports.

Coyle and Philips along would I think be enough for Burns but Setoguchi for a 2nd? Nice!

lol, i guess a more realistic way to look at the trade would be like - burns for seto, n coyle, the 2nd for philips.

either way, def looking to be one of the best trades wild have made. heres to hoping we can survive the season, and make playoffs without burns. so far im somewhat concerned, but ive lowered my expectations for this season even with the well balanced top6.

ahh? Why would they trade a 2011 first rounder for a 2012 secound?

Seto for a 2nd makes more sense.

I view Zucker as a cross between Zach Parise, Mark Messier, Finnish GretzkyJesus, and Cal Clutterbuck. Seems reasonable that he achieves that.

Well, at least you're managing your expectations. Ha.

Now that we are on the subject, Zucker looks like he could be Zach Parise's little brother. They are eerily similar looking.

I'm calling...~20 goals, 25 assists but one heck of an annoying waterbug to play against.

i know it's too early to say but besides Granlund, Larsson, Zucker and maybe BB anyone know any other possible wild prospect could be in wjc this winter...

Jonas Brodin and Charlie Coyle are in for sure. Gustafson, the swedish goalie. Thats pretty much it I think.

With so many draft picks this year like Scheifele, RNH and Couturier looking like they might end up in the NHL this season, Phillips might get a shot on Team Canada unless he's ineligible for a reason I'm not familiar with.

Nice to see Lucia off to a good start.

Anyone know what type of point pace in the BCHL is something to target? 1.5-2 PPG? Literally know next to nothing about that league.
