haha yeah, I thought it was funny. Even Henrik started laughing near the end. Seriously guys, this isn't anything to be offended about.

Unless you're the coach of the Bruins (course not when your own players do it).

He should've gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for that bs. He was already getting out of line and undisciplined before, during, and after this little incident. Yet the officials chose to overlook it completely. Whatever...Henrik just brushed it off.

Probably because they know how easily things get under Thornton's skin.

Joe should turn his attention towards winning games. Just my thought.

I thought it was funny too. Trying to draw a slash or some other penalty from Henrik. But Henrik clearly was pretty unruffled.

Thornton really is a *****, and I wonder how his "leadership" affects the rest of the Sharks.

I'm thinking one of the best things the Sharks can do this offseason is jettison Thornton to some team desperate for a "#1C" like Toronto, for a couple of young, fast players.

Never saw that before, though. Should have been 2 mins IMO. Really poor taste.

That might be funny to 12 year-olds and *******s, but that should be an automatic two-minute unsportsmanlike penalty on Thornton.

You wear the "C", you get the privilege of getting an explanation from the referee. If you use that opportunity to do something like that, you go to the box.

I thought it was ****ing hilarious. I love Joe Thornton.

Evidence that Hank was able to throw him off his game

Joe Thornton will go down as one of the best players in the NHL to never win anything.

if Burrows was in Henrik's position, he would've just bit Thornton's finger

Thornton is like Bertuzzi, he kills his team as much as he contributes.

It seemed henrik was smiling a bit in the end. Also, Thornton was trolling Henrik last year as well. When he didn't let hank pick up his fallen helmet. What a clown.

It's funny but it's not acceptable behavior during a game. It shows up the ref by doing it right in front of him and it's disrespectful of Henrik. Would he get away with doing that to Niklas Lidstrom? Would he even try? I doubt it. He should have gotten a 10 minute misconduct.

Thornton is lucky that wasn't Burr. Also, I think Sharks should clean house if they don't go to third round this year.

Ref didn't seem to have a problem with it - and you can expect another player will do this again until they actually do something.

Now if it was Burrows or Lappy doing it, you can be sure it would fodder on the HNIC for the next several weeks.

Ref didn't care because the Sedins are the Rodney Dangerfield's of hockey.

Just a sore loser in thornton showing up.
You'd never see our captain doing that. THAT is the difference in class levels of the two captains.

I dunno. Just so I'm clear, I thought it was funny but also I did think is was a stupid thing for Thornton to do, and it shows IMO why he's known as a bit of a flake around the league, but a misconduct? Seems a bit harsh for something so harmless. Henrik just laughed at him, and the ref did step in and tell him to stop.

The real question is - would Thornton do something like that to anybody who would actually get offended and possibly retaliate? I doubt it.

At the end of the video, the ref is pushing Thornton's hand out of Henrik's face.. He knew what was happening but obviously not worth a penalty..

I want to be mad, but it's just too funny. I would have loved to hear what the ref said to them there.
