Prediction: Sharks will play a bit undisciplined early with the crowd hungry for Canucks blood and the Canucks will make them pay early on the Power Play (and might actually get 4-5 PPs for once). If Niemi starts he won't finish the game.

We might lose this one if our desperation level isn't there, sharks are in need of points.

For the love of god, please let there be a callup from Chicago...only thing worse than Alberts as a dman is Alberts as a forward.

Let's speculate who could be recalled?

Personally Mancari is a natch for me. I'd like to see Schroeder the most, with Rodin as a second.

Just no Mancari plzkthx.

Schroeder with something like 10 points in his last 12 or 13 games? I'd love to see him get a shot...although it would likely be someone like Mancari again.

Yeah, his stats in Chicago have been good. I know he's not lighting it up but I really thought he was ready for the big club in pre-season. His defensive game has improved about 500 times from last year.

Call up Schroeder! This is when we should try him out, a top 6 player goes out - slot in Schroeder.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Schroeder-Kesler-Raymond (the speed.....)
Hansen-Hodgson-Ebbett
Malhotra-Lapierre-Weise

It seems like management likes to spread around the call ups to reward players who are working hard so it wouldn't surprise me if it were Schroeder. However, considering the size of the Sharks I also wouldn't be surprised if Mancari got another call.

If not Schroeder, I at least would prefer Oreskovich just for a big body on the 4th line to eat minutes.

I thought Mancari looked impressive in his limited time. My guess is that they give Oreskovich another look. I think the 4th line as a unit has been more effective since Volpatti has been sidelined (that sounds mean, I like the guy, but I have been more impressed with the replacements).

Oreskovich just doesn't impress. He seems to be lacking some drive. I'd go with someone else who needs to be rewarded. Not sure who that might be on the Wolves but it would be good to take a look at Schroeder.

Poor Tanev. When will he get his recall?

Tanev is getting 1st pairings minutes with the Wolves and getting to deal with ES, PP and PK time. Better for his development and its MGs plan to keep him there barring absolute obliteration of our D.

I suspect he's first call-up in the playoffs. He's too good not to.

Going to the game. Too bad I won't get to see Higgy (or the AMEX line for that matter). But hoping for a gritty win anyway! I'll try to drown out the boooos with Luuuuus

Playoffs yes, but regular season we'd have to go through Rome, Sulzer and Alberts.

Last night I was flipping through the free preview movie channels and Malibu Shark Attack was playing - it seemed oddly appropriate. Prehistoric sharks and all:

Going to be a tough game with Higgins out IMO, really going to miss him this game since it's a big one.

Wouldn't be surprised if we lost a close one, but wouldn't be surprised if we pull out a win either. If SJ doesn't stay disciplined, we'll beat 'em on the PP
