Please Jesus/Santa, make Booth healthy enough to play in Boston. I will never ask for anything else, ever again.

So they can head/knee hunt him knowing full well they wont get suspended no matter what they do?

I think we have to let Boston go, they beat us, we can't beat them in the playoffs (unless it's in the finals) and the regular season game doesn't mean anything more than 2 points.

You never know. It is quite individual.

Kesler has had two hip surgeries and continues to bang.

Samuelsson had a much tougher time coming back from his surgeries.

As noted on 09 Dec 2011:
Samuelsson's progress

Veteran forward Mikael Samuelsson (groin), who made his Panthers' debut Thursday, was given the night off Friday.

"He was more molasses than Porsche would be a description of Game 1,'' Dineen joked.

I think Sams is done, unfortunately. There go my dreams of acquiring him at the deadline for peanuts. He won't be any use anymore.

Great move by GMMG offloading both Sturm and Samuelsson for Booth.

Good news on Booth - hope to see him back and scoring soon. He was just hitting his stride when he got hurt. The offensive depth this lineup will have with him in it is just plain frightening.

I remember when the deal was done and Florida was lauding over the fact that he was a salary dump.

Trade worked out well for both teams, but damn, Booth looks like 08-09 Booth and that's a thing of beauty.

No kidding, what a freaking snipe.

Especially now it looks like Samuelsson is pretty much done. I like how we sorted it out early in the season...there are going to be a few teams fighting over top six wingers as we approach the deadline (including potential playoff rivals Detroit and Chicago), especially these sorts of power wingers. Good to get it out of the way early and for a reasonable price.

Great news on Booth as well, he was becoming one of the most entertaining players on the team right before his injury, and that Am/Ex line was an absolute handful for opposing teams.

I wonder if the Amex line will be returning with Booth. I think it's more realistic that Raymond will claim Higgins spot with Booth playing RW.

Booth-Kesler-Raymond would be a crazy fast line.

The Amex line has had a lot of success already, Raymond is going to have to prove that swapping Higgins out for him is more beneficial. Though MayRay does have great chemistry with Kesler, we'll have to see how he plays with Booth.

It wasn't a bad move for Tallon either
He gets to write off $4.5M of cap space at the end of the year
Where Booth has a long term contract

And if Sammuelson was healthy enough, he could of flip him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick to a contending team at the trade deadline

At the very least, he still writes off Sturm and Sam to gain lots of cap space

So we can basically peg Booth a UFA signing? Except Gillis has the excuse (when Burrows or other players want a raise) that Booth's 4+ million dollar contract doesn't fit his personal salary structure so it can't be used as a bench-mark.

Why bother dressing anyone then? If he's healthy I'd rather have all weapons in the lineup and beat them rather than play scared.

why? I'd rather dress Booth. That way we can role three lines and hire some goons off the street to dress on the 4th line. Which three goons though? Milbury, The Goon(wrestler), and Gino. goon it up boys.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can't trade a player back to the team that traded him earlier in the year.

I don't want to rush Booth. Look what happened to Malkin. Recover, rehabilitate and come back healthy.

We'll be fine for another 2 weeks.

Higgins and Raymond can interchange on the 2nd/3rd lines depending on the hot hand.

The fact remains that this team is unmatched when healthy in terms of depth.

Tanev left the game in Chicago today after being hit from behind into the end boards.

My point isn't really that we should be scared of Boston but more than it's not really something we should be looking forward to.

If we win, we didn't win when it really mattered.

If we lose, we're still intimidated/not tough enough.

Best case scenario, we go in, play between the whistles, get 2 points and get out.

I don't know why some of you are looking forward to it so much, beating them in the regular season isn't going to prove anything.

but yes, if Booth is healthy by then, by all means put him in there.

Was there an actual update on Booth somewhere today or are we just assuming he's getting better?

What the hell is with all these dirty hits in one week. Let alone 2 boarding majors in 2 days. Granted it's different leagues but, jesus.

Damn looks like we won't be seeing him soon. Kid has got a lot of talent if we had let him played instead of Alberts... I think he be a much better asset for the team.
