Arturs Kulda - you interested?

He was placed on waivers today by Winnipeg. I've always been a fan of his and he is a very underrated player on the backend. Think he'd be a good fit if we picked him up since our blueline prospects could use some help.

What do you guys think?

Kulda is a physical defenseman who is solid defensively. He skates well and is usually in the right spot. Kulda has a heavy shot from the point which is valuable on the power play. He's a very willing hitter and makes a good outlet pass. Kulpa can make mistakes in coverage and can get a little messy with the puck. He also needs to work on the speed of the pro game.

We don't have the contract space, and it's very rare to see people picked up off of waivers now through the early season.

Oskars should get more of a "look" before we go signing a guy like Kulda.
Its between Lilja and Oskars for the 6th d-man spot this year, right?

I'd take Kulda over all of those 3.
