COL's Kevin Porter has a disciplinary hearing tomorrow with Brendan Shanahan for the knee on knee hit on VAN's David Booth.
The hearing is today and because the Avs have a game tonight the decision will need to be made today as well.

Edit: In addition a decision on Bourdon will need to be today as well since the Flyers have another game tonight.

Both Leino and Sutton can wait until tomorrow since their teams don't play until then

Added the Sutton stuff. I'll update once the specific details of the suspension are released.

Will miss tomorrow vs. FLA; can return Saturday vs. NYR.

And yet Bourdon didn't get anything for hitting Gerbe into the glass from behind. WTF.

Ya, he earned it, keep your elbows in.

But, not even a hearing for that boarding hit on Gerbe by Bourdon.

No official word out of the Sabres yet, but my family uses the same doc as them and Gerbe is going to be out for 4 weeks minimum with a mild concusion from that hit.

I disagree with the 4 games given to Porter. Excessive IMO. I didn't think any suspension should be given (1 or 2 games at most) considering he got 5 and a Game. Not a repeat offender either.

Dangerous play for sure but it wasn't intentional.

It was clearly intentional.

Who extends their knee like that for that period of time with any other intention in mind?

It's a good length suspension imo. Not a repeat offender, however it was dangerous and intentional. Plus it resulted in a torn ACL which is pretty much the worst out come of a knee on knee hit.

He takes out booth for 4-6weeks, so he can sit for 4 games.

I don't think it was intentional. He just leans a lot to his right because he was trying to hit Booth who was turning away and leads with his knee recklessly.

E: I think it's a fair suspension.

Reckless and dangerous if not intentional. Can't let people hang knees for any reason.

I think we should consider having a sticky thread for potential suspensions too. It seems like every other thread these days is about some borderline play that a few wacky homers are demanding a suspension for.

I hate it. Fans, Coaches, GM's, players all crying for suspensions all the time.

Marchand fined for a slew foot. No complaints from me. I've seen others post clips of Subban doing it, but I have no idea if he was ever fined. Just some ammo for when someone unsuccessfully tries to argue the league favors the Bruins.

As a side note, if someone has an official link to all the fines the NHL has handed out this year it might be interested to compiled those as well. I just don't know where to find them

Not sure how Bourque received 2 and Lucic 1. The latter was worse in my opinion.
