Marriage Proposal Question

Hey Guys!! Well..the time has come where I'm finally ready to pop the big question!!!

I have one question though. I have half season tickets to the Jets, and I was awarded the home opener game ..

I was thinking of proposing at the game somehow, maybe using the jumbotron, or working something out that would be memorable! She has told my friend that it would be the best thing EVER if i were to propose at the opener. Anyone have any ideas or know of who I'm suppose to contact for such things?

Any ideas will help!! Thanks!!!

Congratulations go_Habs_go!!

I would contact TNSE and let them know about your plan......might want to leave the Habs jersey at home so you don't get booed while popping the question on the Jumbotron

You may want to contact this person "Director, Promotions & Game Production". I know that to appear on jumbo-trons in other NHL buildings that a donation to the teams charity usually does the trick. For the Jets that is the Winipeg Jets True North Foundation. A visit to www.winnipegjets.com should put you in the right directions.

Congratulations

To be completely honest I think the team's involvement on this particular night would be minimal. The focus on Oct 9 will be on the team and they may not want to get involved in something like this.

Regardless of whether they will do anything, enjoy the moment as make it something to remember. Good luck.

I was at Twins/Yankees game in Minnesota this year. This guy got on the big screen in his Jeter jersey to a Twins fan. He got down on his knee and was all set to propose and then ripped off the Jeter Yankees jersey and he had a Twins jersey on, it was pretty good. If you were wearing the Habs jersey and had the Jets jersey underneath its an idea.

Would be kinda funny if he bought a knockoff Canadiens jersey and ripped it off to reveal a Jets shirt or something.

Good Luck. And wear the Habs jersey so they cheer you then boo you.

Congrats! To be honest though I'm not sure how receptive TNSE is going to be. This is a huge night for them and I would imagine that every break in play will have something planned and ready to go. I think it's worth inquiring about, but I think they may advise you that another game would be more feasable.

Good luck with all that. I've been married a bunch of times so I can tell what not to do.

Personally, I think the Jumbotron proposal has been done to death. just once I like to hear the lady to say, "Are you out of your f@#king mind?"

If your GF has said that a jumbotron proposal would be awesome, then go for it.

But otherwise... it's a very personal moment, that I think should be done in private.

If she is into hockey, go for it. I think it would be the most awesome thing ever to have the question popped at a game, especially one this important.

I'm confused about the booing though...as far as I know, 99% of hockey fans in this city were Habs fans.

Bunch of turncloaks
