He had a short slump, but he scored a goal last game and followed up by being the best player on his team today and scored another one.

Exact same point spread as team mate Silfverberg 3 goals, 3 assists -1.

Did Jarnkrok start slumping a bit after his hot start? Or did the team as a whole start to struggle?

Interesting to note the Wild's Johan Larsson is now tied with Jarnkrok in scoring on the team. Larsson is a year younger and plays a very feisty two-way game. Some might remember him as the top forward at the U18's a year ago in April. Heck of a young 1-2 combo Brynas seems to have at center.

He sure looks like a real keeper. We will also see him in this years WJC.

As a Habs fan, you know what else is interesting over there? The current leading scorer, Mike Iggulden, has only one NHL goal to his name, and it was against Carey Price. Which comes full circle when you see that Brynas' captain and current leading scorer is former Canadien, Andreas Dackell.

And defenseman Magnus Nygren is Färjestads leading goalscorer.

Ah, nice. Well spotted. I'm looking forward to getting a look at him in a Habs' jersey.

Very good start to the season. Given Babcock's recent quote about how Calle could be playing in the NHL right now, does anyone given him a chance to hit Detroit next season?? If not then another season in the SEL I guess.

With Nyquist and Tatar pretty much guaranteed spots, I'd think the Wings would want Jarnkrok to wait one more season before coming over to the NHL

Wouldn't mind Calle taking the "Nyquist route" as in perhaps starting with some games in the AHL and then they give him a chance if he shines. I haven't heard what he wants to do himself though.

Same thing was said about his teammate Silverberg. Not tryna make this about him, just interesting that two guys on the same team were told the same thing and both decided to spend another year at home to hone their skills.

Nice for swedish hockey that the players decides to stay until they are really good SEL-players. Also probably good for the players develpment overall. I would think Silfverberg is more ready than Järnkrok though, one year older and less bulking up to do.
