That 2004 draft keeps paying off.

Does that mean Kassian is making the Wild?

Was in Aeros training camp last season and never got a sniff in the regular season playing in the CHL. Unless its some sort of a gimmick, it makes no sense to be anything besides an AHL 2-way contract.

He might have a better chance to stick around with the team due to Staubitz being suspended; however last I heard Kassian's injured. Either way Boogaard's nothing more than insurance (and a nice PR move).

Wasn't he going to be charged with something in relation to the incident, or did that all get cleared up?

I'm guessing Russo will have some stories involving all that. Surprising move. Hopefully it's not just a PR stunt.

kassian has a groin issue...maybe it's longish-term and Aaron is just insurance.

Kassian is hurt and will most likely see some games in the NHL once hes healed. Boogaard will be doing the enforcing down in Houston when Kassian isnt around. That and its probably a family favor of sorts.

Apparently this isn't a signing for need and has been in the works for a month.

Sounds like it's ECHL/AHL 2-way.

They better pick one up soon or Kuemper won't have a place to play.

You can loan players to other teams.

Yeah, I don't know why Bakersfield chose to go independent. The guy I know that used to be out there moved to the Bay Area last spring. Jumped from one software company to actually working for Facebook.

I asked Ms. Conduct if she heard anything about a new ECHL affiliate and her response was that she would "prefer to not be tied to one" for some reason...

/shrug

I'm curious as to what happens with Endras or Keumper. Hackett is definitely the starter in Houston and what I do know is that a couple of other AHL clubs are in need of a goalie... It may be that one of those two are "loaned" to another AHL team before they are sent to the ECHL... The Ducks did this for a while when the Chops went belly up down in Des Moines.

I kinda thought the thing with his brother would be the end of Aaron's hockey career....

Don't teams usually stay away from players with legal issues in their past??? plus the question on if he wanted to play again.....and I guess I thought he was older.
