As training camp winds down, the Senators' injury list is growing. No. 1 goalie Craig Anderson didn't practise Tuesday because of what MacLean described as "a maintenance thing, nothing serious." The plan now calls for him to play in Thursday's preseason finale in Boston against the Bruins. Defenceman Chris Phillips, who suffered tightness in his back during Monday's 3-1 loss to Winnipeg in St. John's, N.L., also didn't work out Tuesday. He was joined on the sidelines by Stéphane Da Costa, out with a "lower body thing," according to MacLean. Meanwhile, centre Zenon Konopka, who hasn't played since the exhibition opener because of back issues, is hoping to be in the lineup Thursday. There was no update on the status of centre Jesse Winchester, who suffered a right shoulder injury on the opening day of training camp.
Craig Anderson (maintenance) & Alex Auld (cramps) participated, those that did not included Jason Spezza (maintenance), Matt Carkner (maintenance-knee), Chris Phillips (maintenance – back) & Peter Regin (shoulder, day-to-day)
I'll be very surprised if Da Costa isn't in the lineup October 7th
same here. it seems like Michalek and Alfie might be sticking together. That would mean that Filatov would be playing with Spezza. just have to figure out who the other winger on that top line will be.
IF DaCosta is in the lineup like we think, then the only real spot for him would be 2nd line center with McAlfie.
wouldn't mind seeing a Filatov-Spezza-Zibanejad line for a while.
I still think it ends up,
