I think McCarthy or MacIntrye will go back to Worcester and Winchester gets signed.

I'm thinking they both eventually get sent down and Winchester gets signed...

Do they even have enough players in Worcester?

That's what I'm thinking too...

Marleau/JT/Pavs
Clowe/Couture/Ferriero (Havlat)
Wingels/Zeus/Mitchell
A. Murray/Desjardins/Winchester
McGinn

Murray/Boyle
Vlasic/Burns
White/Demers
Vandermeer

Niemi
Greiss

I think Braun and Moore will also find their way back to Worcester - unless Wilson finds someone to take Moore off his hands.

Thanks LS.

MacIntyre makes sense in that if he has any kind of chance, they don't want to put him through recall waivers. The same would apply to Moore, but he is likely too far down the depth chart for that to be worrisome.

Ummm...I think so. (How's that for a commital answer? )

If my math is correct (and there have been no unannounced cuts) right now they have 13 healthy forwards, 9 defenseman, and 2 goaltenders....but there are several players without contracts on that list.

The McLine?

Despite losing his 3rd line spot to Wingels, I'd think McGinn will still get a spot on the Sharks' roster. The question is will he be the extra forward, or can he beat out Winchester or Murray for a regular 4th line spot? At the moment it looks like McLellan is pretty set on Winchester-Desjardins-Murray.

I don't think he's subject to regular waivers, so if he isn't he wouldn't be subject to recall waivers.

Edit: CapGeek says he's not exempt...although I can't figure how a 3rd year pro with less than 50 games played isn't exempt.

He signed as a 25 year old, so only had one year of exemption.

This is MacIntyre's 2nd year as a pro.

Seems pretty likely for opening night. I'd rather have 14 forwards than 8 defensemen.

MacIntyre gets hit on recall waivers because he is getting an NHL salary in the AHL.

Despite my best wishes, I have a feeling Winchester is getting a contract.

As long as Sheppard isn't on the roster, I'm happy.

No, this is MacIntyre's third year. He signed an ELC at the end of the 2009-10 that was for that season.

While he is apparently subject to recall waivers, that would be only true if he is subject to regular waivers. Players that are waiver exempt to be moved to the AHL are exempt to all waivers.

Why? You'd prefer our 3rd go to waste? I'd like to at least see what the kid has to offer when he's healthy and after a lengthy conditioning stint.

I also get the feeling Winchester is going to be signed, and that's pretty silly, but whatever.
