No one. What a joke. Didn't make any sense then, and somehow makes even less sense now.

Thank god for hockey, time to glide right in.

Okay okay. If we don't re-sign Rollins, then who do we go for?

Actually for bad contracts... I'd still have to say Werth is still up there.

I don't know if I agree with that. There are some wealthy teams with terrible players trying to make a turnaround. The Cubs and Orioles come to mind. Cardinals and Brewers will both be looking for a replacement for Pujols and Fielder respectively. A team like the Rangers could use a big bat over there instead of Mitch Moreland. And some big teams, White Sox, Yankees and Red Sox could sign him as a DH.

The Yanks and Red Sox, along with any possibility of the Nationals would have to be a big trade for us, because that'd be the most likely to come bite us in the ass.

This extinguished core of the Phillies was capable of more than one championship.

They left a lot on the table.

thats cool. I don't wish ill on anybody. But it apparently wasn't a bad enough injury or he wasn't in enough pain to keep him from playing 100+ games.

No NL team is trading for Howard without the Phils eating half of it. Yanks and Red Sox have no spot for Howard. On top of that he's getting incredible money for diminishing returns.

Ryan Howard is absolutely not tradeable. It's quite likely that his contract will become the worst in MLB history. No team will touch it.

I can't remember, didn't Howard have ankle problems going into the post-season? Or was it groin?
