I heard rumor of J Roll joining wanting to be a Giant next year. I love it.
I will say that the Phillies are going to be okay next year as long as they keep their pitching. Giants proved you can win with just pitching. Interesting off season coming up for the Phillies.

Giants also had some really clutch hitting.
But yeah, Phillies still have Halladay, Lee, Hamels and Worley. Our top 4 will be just fine.

The Giants got alot of timely hitting, JRoll going to the Giants would make sense. he is from Oakland.

In three years, Worely will be your number 1. Phillies also have their young talent in Brown and Mayberry. I feel that you're pretty in trouble at Catcher. Ruiz and brian Schneider are both ancient.

If Hamels is still here he would be our #1, I like both Brown and Mayberry. But they still need to get younger.

Worley excels on confidence and being able to hit his spots, which won't lead him to be a number 1, or probably not a 2. Hamels should be our Ace for years to come. Worley should never be higher than a 3.

Ruiz is 32 and hasn't shown any wear from being an actual catcher I don't think. We do have a catcher in the system that is in some people's top 10 of our prospects. Brown just needs to get a little smarter. Mayberry I think just needs to hit a tad more consistently. Like I said, our outfield is fine for the future.

i guess they could trade utley and victorino, I dont know who else they could value for.
As far Howard, even though I personally have been on him the last few years I hope he is ok. If he did rupture his achilles this would be the perfect time for him to spend hours on end of watching tape of him from 2005-2007.
I know some were saying Pujols or Fielder... how about Berkman? Or would be cost WAY too much? Also, if Howard is out, does he still get paid but not affect the whole team salary cap? Or does the IR/LTIR not work like hockey?

Berkman just signed a one year extension. There is no salary cap in the MLB.
I dont think this team needs to be blown up, that being said I would like them to get younger, and either bring in players who actually have a concept of hitting or have charlie change his approach with them. They have too much pitching not to contend, but as you see in the playoffs you hitters will grind out ab's. That's the only way you are going to win against top flight pitchers.
