The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has activated defenseman Adam Pardy from injured reserve and assigned defenseman Philip Larsen to the Texas Stars.
Ott questionable for Friday's game after cut to the hip from a skate against New Jersey. Benn has had trouble with his wrist but should be able to go on Friday.

Grossman is a ****ing warrior, lock this man up long term. Ott deserves a couple games off if he needs them. I doubt this'll warrant a callup but we might as well put Ryder there (with Benn and Eriksson) and move Burish up to play with Morrow and Ribeiro.... See how Benn does without Ott to take half his draws...
It won't happen as we're scratching 2 forwards a night, but if a Winger needs to be called up it should be Fraser. Kid is unreal lighting it up in Texas atm.
With Ott probably out on Friday lines at practice looked like:
Eriksson - Benn - Ryder
Morrow - Ribiero - Burish
Gully said they want to give Loui a few days to practice at LW to see how it goes. That's smart IMO because Loui hasnt looked good at LW when he's gone back recently, but maybe a few days practicing it again will change that.

Yes they should. I've wanted to see that line configuration for a long time.
I'd say I have a feeling we'll see it eventually, but Gully doesn't seem very high on Wandell since that preseason game where he got a shot on the top line and did nothing with it. If Ryder doesn't work on that line it wouldn't surprise me to see Wandell moved up though.
It's an interesting set of lines that's for sure. I think Gully wants Burish with Morrow and Ribeiro to cover for Ribeiro's poor faceoff ability and to be a strong defensive presence on that line. One of my problems with how the Ribeiro line has played so far this year is that Ryder seems to be forced into situations where he has to make big plays on the backcheck and he's not really all that well equipped to do that. I mean it seems like Morrow is always deep in the attacking zone or behind the net and Ribeiro kind of cycles all around the place so Ryder is the high guy that has to pick up the 3rd man in the other team's rush. I think Burish will look fine on that line and hopefully Ryder can benefit from playing with our two hottest players so far this season.
If there's any game where Gulutzan is going to be juggling the lines it's on Friday night. If Wandell has a strong start to the game Gully might make a chance if he feels either of the top two lines aren't clicking.
The Stars on Thursday placed Steve Ott on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 29, which means he could come off of IR tomorrow if he had to.
The move was made because Ott is expected to stay in Texas this weekend nursing a hip injury and because Brenden Morrow missed practice Thursday with an elbow injury.
If Morrow can't play Friday or Saturday, the Stars would like to be able to call up a forward from the Texas Stars. This move allows them to quickly do that if the need arises.
DMN said he took a puck to the hand/wrist. Like I said in the GDT I'm excited about the opportunity for Larsen here and I'm optimistic that he plays well enough to work himself into the picture on a more regular basis even when Goligoski comes back.

for the sake of my keeper league, i hope you're right. first games of the season left me more pessimistic about larsen though. still didn't seem physically ready. he should however figure to be a good replacement on the pp point (better than petersen anyway). if i had my druthers, i'd use him as a pp specialist with selective even strength time when matchups warrant it.
No bag skate for the boys tomorrow, system practice.
Can't imagine a bad skate with a back to back coming up, especially with the first game being in Colorado where we have struggled for seamlessly the entire post lockout period, would be a good idea. We'd see last night all over again, but worse.
