Nordiques Nation is coming to Boston

Be ready Boston Bruins fans, the Nordiques Nation is heading your way on March 3 2012, against the Islanders . Boston is the 4th out of 5 stops scheduled for the NN this season . The other stops are at New Jersey, Florida, Ottawa and Detroit .

Last year, they brought 1100 fans at Long Island for a game Atlanta vs Islanders, and more than 2 000 people made the 500 miles trip to Newark for a game between the Devils against the Bruins .

For those who don't know who are the Nordiques Nation, it's a fan club that are rooting for the return of the Quebec Nordiques, and the return of the NHL to good hockey markets, and are promoting the love of hockey .

They are real party people, really respectful, making a maximum of noise to get the best ambiance possible . They are coming with their families, from kids to grand parents, and they will cheer for Boston during all the game . It's gonna be a great deal of fun

A little OT but does anyone here feel like if Bergeron was to leave the Bruins it would be for the Nordiques? He is from Quebec City and grew up a big fan of them. I have to wonder if the team came back if he would like to leave Boston at some point to play there? I'd love to see the Nordiques back and hate to see Bergeron leave.

It would be a really hard decision for him . He has Boston tatooed on his chest, but he would surely give it a thouth to play a couple of seasons in his hometown . Still, I'm pretty sure that at the end, he will retire as a Boston Bruins .

Dude's lived half of his conscious life in Boston, hell he even has a bit of a Bostonian accent on top of his French Canadian one. I think this city is just about as much of a home as Quebec is to him.

Hopefully Quebec City will get a NHL team in the near future.
I really liked the Nordiques and loved the good old Adams Division.
And they would try their best in every game against the hatred Habs.
Bring back another Good Friday Brawl.

I would love nothing more than to see a return of the Nordiques and the Whale to the Adams!

Cool story, bro.

Actually, I'd freaking love for the Nordiques to come back. When I was a kid the Bruins record against them in the early 90s was roughly 83-6-1.

I can't wait for the Nordiques 'to be' again. They were the one Canadian team I liked.

It's great to see the fans haven't given up. It only makes sense that Quebec gets the next team that fails in the US.

The Nordiques were his childhood team, but he's become a man in Boston and IMHO he's a Bruin through and through.

The most important vestige of his love for the Nordiques is that it gave him an abiding hatred of the Canadiens.

deleting... quoted deleted post

Anyway, bring back the Nords. Nords fans and Bruins fans share a common bond... we all hate the Habs. Move Miami and Phoenix to QC and Seattle, and I would be a happy camper.

If the Nords return, please wear the original pale blue and white sweaters.

I have a WHA Nordiques pennant, prized possession.

Bergy will definitely jump to the Nords at the first opportunity. In fact, it's pretty much a done deal. He will be named Capitane, wear #37, and has even agreed to don a Jofa helmet.

Krejci will wear 26, Peter Stastny's old number.

Bruins fans going to this game, make the extra effort to mingle with these people. I have 2 collegues that are part of these trips and their love for the game is second to none.

Moreover, these fans hate the schabs more than us!! Honestly, when you go to Quebec city do not talk about 2 things.....politics and hockey......

Bring them back...kick out a team like the Coyotes or Panthers.

It honestly makes too much sense, i'm surprised theses guys haven't figured it out.

Will be glad to see some passionate Nordiques fans invade the Hub. The NHL would be wise to get a team to QC quickly.

Also, Hartford....the Whale? They only beat Vancouver once, maybe twice in a lifetime...

The whale wouldn't survive, I don't know why people keep wanting them back, they don't have a large enough fan base, that area is mostly a battle between Bruins and Rangers fans now.

It's gotten pretty silly, if you ask me. When they were doing it on Long Island, that was great because the Islanders were a candidate to move. Now that they've been doing Newark, NYC, and Boston, I think the group has lost a lot of its meaning even if the Islanders are the visiting team.

That said, I fully support bringing a team to Quebec. If they aren't even named the Nordiques, they should at least pay tribute to the beautiful uniforms.
