Claude Giroux Training & Point Predictions

Gonna be doing my hockey pool draft this weekend, so was wondering how you guys think Giroux's gonna do this year points wise?

Will he see a jump with the Richards/Carter departures, or should he still be around the 70-80 range?

Also, saw this sick video featuring some of his offseason training so thought I'd share...

75-90 pts, depending on the rest of our offense.

Im a firm believer that Giroux can be in the top 6 in scoring for several years. Question is when.

Does that mean Voracek and JvR get 40 each?

Shelley has 79. The last one is split among the rest of the team.

Realistically speaking, I see a top line of JvR-Giroux-Shelley breaking down statistically like this:

Giroux
2-98-100

JvR
98-2-100

Shelley
2-2-4

I'd say 75-80 is about right.

I am really excited about him. The sky is the limit for this kid and his drive is amazing. He will average better than a ppg this year. He will be 23 for most of the season and he is far more mature than his age. He is a special player and I am glad we have him on our team where we can watch him improve every year. There was only one Bobby Clarke. But Claude has a lot of Clarkie's traits and that is not a bad thing.

With better hands too, in my opinion.

My first fantasy draft has begun (it's an e-mail draft).

Though there's more than just points involved (it's a Yahoo! rotisserie pool), I was pretty shocked when Claude went off the board at 10th overall.

I got high hopes for Giroux, so I'm wishing the best for him.

I took him 4th round (36th overall) in my 10 team league (first 3 picks were Malkin, Lundqvist, Weber), ahead of C's like Tavares, Mike Richards, Sharp, Duchene.

I'm expecting around 86 points from Giroux next year.

I know he wants to be a playmaker but he really needs to shoot more

Yeah he does he has a good shot and can really deke out a goalie. On Youtube their is a tribute to him and he scores some awesome goals but I don't know how to upload the video to these boards.

My range as well, but he's looking great with Jagr so our PP could be great - and he might get more.
