Petersson could get a shot on Spezza's wing vs. Anaheim. If there was ever a chance to make an impression now is that time.

Our play-by-play guy said GM Bryan Murray said Petersson could be Spezza's winger for the next 10 years. Even with his production in the AHL I thought they'd take their time bringing him up but it's pretty clear they think he's got a good chance to impose his skill in the NHL.

Apparently his back is 100% now and it had been ailing him for years.

WJC goalie Johan Gustafsson(Minnesota) is the third SEL Rookie of the Year candidate, Pontus Åberg(2012) and Johan Larsson(Minnesota) are the other 2.

rookie of the year? how is Larsson involved with that when he played more than 40 SEL games last season already?!

Here I was thinking we were going for gold this year, but it seems like we're just trying to solve Swedens youth unenployment.

Defencemen tonight:
Edström(92)-Pikkarainen(83)
Burström(91)-Klingberg(92)
Alm(92)-Granberg(92)

Rookie status is any player under a certain age in SEL (20 or 21 I think)

Had forgotten Fredrik Lindgren as he skipped the warm-ups, so luckily we had another veteran.

Klingberg looked good in his Skellefteå-debut. Was the 7th D but played 13:04 and got player of the game. As Jussi said, he had some trouble with the forecheck but the bigger ice seems to suit him. Looked great on the offence and made all the right decisions today, let's hope he keeps it up.

What's the scouting report on Tobias Tornkvist? I see he's racked up a ton of penalty minutes this season in the SuperElit. Physical player?

As for Ludvig Bystrom, I see a lot of positive reports. How's his skating/physical play?

Was really hoping the Sens were going to draft these two a couple years ago. Now I really like Aberg as well...

Skating is really smoth, not very physical. More of a Lidström/Enström/Brodin kind of D.

Collberg is looking great on Frölundas 3rd line right now with PJ Axelsson, almost had his first goal. He has been close so many times this season.

Didn't look out of place at all, any reason why he hasn't played more this season?

Silfverberg scores again today.

I've heard people call him the best player in the Swedish Elite League. Does anybody here agree with that? Has he really taken a step forward as his recent production would indicate?

Havn't seen him play more then the games against Djurgården. But Fredrik Claesson said in last "08 hockey" that he thought Silfverberg was the best player. Robert Rosen says Silfverberg is up there too

You can definitely make a good argument for Silfverberg being the best player (forward at least) in the SEL, but you can make the same argument for about 5 other players.

Still think he's a step behind veterans like Davidsson and Sundström when it all comes down to top performances. It's not like they're at a 100% every shift, though, so right now Silfver is right up there.

Definitely think he's gonna end the season as a PPG player, and there are not too many guys that will do that.

Petersson has been absolutely tearing up the AHL as of late. Starting off very slow but now near PPG on an underperforming B-sens team.

I really think hes established himself as a legit top prospect again.

His game has been great all year, but the reason his scoring has gone up is because he's embraced his role as the leader of the team when Lauritzen and Dackell have been out. He scores more because he has to.

That's a bold statement. Most valuable forward maybe, considering what he brings. Most of the best point producers aren't as complete. He's a do-it-all forward.
