I think André was the favorite player for many on the 2009 and 2010 world junior teams. He was mine for sure. Great to see his senior career pick up, looking forward to see his debut game whenever it comes.
Our play-by-play guy said GM Bryan Murray said Petersson could be Spezza's winger for the next 10 years. Even with his production in the AHL I thought they'd take their time bringing him up but it's pretty clear they think he's got a good chance to impose his skill in the NHL.
Apparently his back is 100% now and it had been ailing him for years.
Had forgotten Fredrik Lindgren as he skipped the warm-ups, so luckily we had another veteran.
Klingberg looked good in his Skellefteå-debut. Was the 7th D but played 13:04 and got player of the game. As Jussi said, he had some trouble with the forecheck but the bigger ice seems to suit him. Looked great on the offence and made all the right decisions today, let's hope he keeps it up.
Havn't seen him play more then the games against Djurgården. But Fredrik Claesson said in last "08 hockey" that he thought Silfverberg was the best player. Robert Rosen says Silfverberg is up there too
Still think he's a step behind veterans like Davidsson and Sundström when it all comes down to top performances. It's not like they're at a 100% every shift, though, so right now Silfver is right up there.
Definitely think he's gonna end the season as a PPG player, and there are not too many guys that will do that.
I've heard people call him the best player in the Swedish Elite League. Does anybody here agree with that? Has he really taken a step forward as his recent production would indicate?
His game has been great all year, but the reason his scoring has gone up is because he's embraced his role as the leader of the team when Lauritzen and Dackell have been out. He scores more because he has to.
