Looks like NYI have signed John Persson to a ELC.

Nashville wants Magnus Hellberg to come over and play in Milwaukee:

Swedish goalies are kissing Swedish hockey goodbye bigtime. Could you imagine Fasth, Nihlstorp, Svedberg and Hellberg going in the the same off-season? Two top goalies, best goalie in the playoffs and one of the best G prospects still at home.

You think Westin will be signed ?

There hasn't been much talk and a rumour is the habs will sign Daniel Pribyl (Czech league) and Magnus Nygren as the only Euros who might get signed. There's been no real talk that I've seen about Westin being signed. Has he done well ? I see he finally scored.

He sounds like a great 4th line player, so I'm hoping you're right.

There would be a whole lot of swedish goalies in AHL then . Considering the quality of swedish goaltender-prospects (and goalie coaches) theese days, I don´t think it would hurt the quality of goaltending in Sweden in the longrun. There is plenty of talent. Especially since a bunch of goalies that never really made it in NA are bound to return eventually.

Wings wanna sign him, and they've agreed that he should be signed and loaned to Sweden. Don't know what the hold-up would be, probably trying to get the best bonuses possible but think it's announced tomorrow.

^ There's a part in that text that says Gustafsson has size issues. I lol'd.

Anyway, would love more insight in that. He's a pretty solid prospect.

Yeah, this guy Shane Malloy...

He probably just checked Gustafsson's hockeydb page and pretended to actually know who he was. His hockeydb page says Gustafsson is 5-6 and 143 lbs lol

Anyone in Sweden hear what is up with Rensfeldt?

Hawks signed a bunch of prospects who's rights are up except for him

Interesting. Since P-W was drafted as an overager, does he re-enter the draft or become a FA right away? Anybody knows?

Can't say I've seen anything about him recently. But he did say earlier that he wouldn't mind going back to Brynas, although ultimately aiming for the NHL. From what I saw in the World Juniors, Rensfeldt doesn't have the skating ability to make the NHL anytime soon.

Battle of the Swedish ice-"Bergs", doe anyone think Sebastian CollBERG has any chance at all to get drafted earlier than Filip ForsBERG? Likely not, but Seb did impress at the combine for whatever that's worth.

I also think it is unlikely that Collberg gets drafted earlier than Forsberg. I personally think Collberg vs. Lindholm as the second Swede drafted seems like a more interesting question.

Gotta wonder if the Hellberg signing made Poile pull the trigger on Lindback.

well, seems too much of a coincidence.. he was probably waiting to be sure about getting him over there before completing the deal and losing Lindback.

Sources say Oscar Dansk will report to the CHL for next season, if the London Knights are able to grab him at the Import Draft.

According to this blog post(linked page in Swedish), Oscar Sundqvist, is on an airplane right now, crossing the Atlantic to attend the draft.

http://norran.se/hockeybloggen/?ifra...an.se/?p=33733

According to the blog post, Skelleftea junior coach Lind says about 10 NHL clubs has shown some interest in Oscar (doesnt say to what level they've shown interest). But Lind mentions that Detroit, Columbus, St Louis & Pittsburgh are among those clubs.
