SEL-preseason game going on right now between Luleå HF and Skellefteå AIK, it can be watched here:
http://norran.se/2012/08/skellefteaa...lleftea-aik-3/

In red:
37. (goalie) Johan Gustafsson - Minnesota Wild
6. Daniel Gunnarsson - Minnesota Wild

In white:
29. Oscar Sundqvist - Pittsburgh Penguins
8. Petter Granberg - Toronto Maple Leafs
24. Oscar Lindberg - New York Rangers
54. Anton Lindholm - 2013 draft eligible
25. Arvid Lundberg - 2013 draft eligible
56. Anton Öhman - 2014 draft eligible

Oscar Lindberg 1-0
Anton Öhman 2-0
(Kim Hirschovits 2-1)
(Melker Karlsson 3-1)
(Melker Karlsson 4-1) Oscar Lindberg not playing, might be injured. Midway goaliechange in Luleå, Gustafsson out.
Arvid Lundberg 5-1
(Toni Koivisto 5-2)

Edit: Anton Öhman is being matched against Linus Klasen, the highest payed player in sweden last year.
Edit2: Not a very well played game but the youngsters were surprisingly good. Hope we'll get to see them in at least a couple of SEL-games this winter.

Didn't get to play a single shift either, Mats "Can't hold onto the puck" Rosseli Olsen got his spot. Hope this changes tomorrow.

He needs to get the away from there. But maybe now when Kenta knows he won't get an extension on his contract he might be more willing to play him, since it will not matter anyway? He's out no matter what. But then againg, it's Kenta so probaly not.

Anyone thinks Filip Forsberg's performance against Skellefteå could indicate a breakthrough offensively this season? Didn't watch the game, but two goals against a strong SEL team is pretty good.

If anything it shows they have confidence in him doing well since he was put on the first line and instantly produced. The praise from Leksands staff and NT coaches are raining down as of late. I think the Skellefteå game is just a taste of things to come.

Well the D he was facing weren't all SEL-class (born 1991-1995), but yes, if the coaches continues to have confidence in him I'm guessing he'll have a William Karlsson-esque season.

That's what I feel aswell. If playing on the first line, getting the PP time that comes with it, he "should" be scoring at a ppg pace or very close. I think it's gonna be very good for his development.

Sorensen in seventh heaven

After a great first day at the Rempartscamp, Swedish, Nick Sorensen could not be happier, he whose 2011-12 season ended prematurely October 28, 2011 following a severe knee injury.

Sorensen and his linemates, Kurt Etchegary and Frederic Bergeron were dominant in the first intrasquad game Monday night, but after 10 months without a single game played, we can understand the emotions that Sorensen lived at Complexe Sportif de l'Ancienne-Lorette, even if it was only the first day of training camp.

"I feel so good, he exclaimed after a morning skate on Tuesday. Finally I can live my life and I could not be happier. It feels so good to be back. All goes well, we have a good group of players, coaches we talk a lot and it is a pleasure to be here. "

As he already knows the demands of coaches, he has not so many new things to learn.

"All I have to do is execute, he said. It's just a little difficult for cardio, but I can do it. "

He has participated in preparatory camps in Switzerland and Sweden, but he didn't force things to allow time for his leg to get back to 100 percent. Moreover, he had skated only once since his return to Quebec, a month ago.

"My leg was not strong enough and I could not push hard without risking to hurt me, he said. Right now. It is much better. I wear a brace and I do not feel pain, he said. Steve Bélanger (athletic therapist des Remparts) did an excellent job and was careful that there is no swelling. "

He looked good in the scrimmage on Monday, he admitted that the skate after practice Monday morning was difficult. "It was very difficult, but today it was much better and I would say that there was a 50% improvement.

He loved the energy of his linemates, Etchegary and Bergeron. "The first ten minutes were more difficult, but Etchegary and Bergeron did so well that I had to pick up the pucks and play my game"

Too nice?

Sorensen, who feels stronger than last season, must find his markers and hopes to become more involved physically.

"In that first game, I sometimes turned instead to give hits, but it's all in my head and it's coming. It's like learning to ride a bicycle. I know that must be hard to take the risk of penalties on the occasion, he said. I think it's better than being too nice. "

"I will also have to learn how to protect myself."

Very interested in how de la Rose turns out. Big 6'2 frame with tons of room to add more muscle, plays in tons of situations and has some skill to compliment his power game.

Question for Swedish fans, do you think he can turn into a bigger Johan Larsson?

This might have been posted already in some other thread. But if anyone would be interested, you can watch the tournament Tv-pucken on Svtplay.

The top prospects born -97 and -98 in Sweden participate in this tournament

Victor Crus Rydberg had a few shifts for Linköpings seniors today in a pre season game against SEL-2 team Malmö. It was his first appearance with the senior team. He kept his shifts short and didn't get much time with the puck but he will get more chances...
