Well, I for one can agree that he isn't always producing up to par with what he shows on the ice. It's definitely not because of lack of tools or toolbox, but rather about inconsistency, something I would say isn't uncommon for a guy his age. But we're not gonna judge a player's production after two games are we?

Easy to forget that Forsberg has played all but a few games of his junior career as a two or three year underager. I saw some words about his International production, last season in international U-20 competition he scored 5+4 in 11 games as a 17yo. This season he has 3+5 in 6 games so far. So in total 8+9 in 17 U-20 intl. games. I think he could've put up a few more points too, but if he's already producing AND showing signs of more, I'm leaning towards that being more of a positive. Beats the hell out of not producing at all, anyway.

What I like about Forsberg personally is not about his skillset or scoring prowess, but his levelheadedness, maturity and work ethic. That's what ultimately makes me high on him as a prospect.

Watched parts of Tom Nilsson's last game, was very poised and played simple. Best part though is probably that he was playing on the first pair with Mora's other youngster Mikael Vikstrand. I'm sure he will learn a lot practising with Kopitar too in the foreseeable future. Looks like he's headed for a good season.

As previously said, he was Skellefteås best D in the playoffs and there are big expectations on him this year, but he got injured in a preseason game and hasn't played yet.

Skellefteå has loads of injuries now, hopefully Wallmark gets to make his debut on thursday. He was centering the line with Möller and Holloway on todays practice.

Any idea how bad Granberg's injury is?

He's practicing but not participating in any physical play, so I'm guessing it'll be another week or two before he's back.
It was a pretty bad accident, Granberg and Mattias Ritola crashed into the boards right when they opened the door. Ritola broke his collarbone, no specifics on Granberg injury other than "upper body" but from the pictures I'm guessing it's his shoulder.

Ouch thats rough, hopefully not too bad.

You said he was the best dman for Skelleftea in playoffs, what kind of minutes / progression would be reasonable to expect for him this year?

Guessing he'll play around 16-17 minutes a night if he's as good as he was in the playoffs. Had around 13 minutes/game last season. Granberg is basically the only defensive defenseman on the team so he'd be the first choice in tight spots, first pairing on the PK and so on.

Though if the SEL opens up for NHL players on short term contracts I'm guessing Jonathan Ericsson would take away a lot of his minutes...

Since there has been some talks about Filip Forsberg I'll just put this one out there

1G 1A 5Sog +1 with 2 hits and a blocked shot today, didnt see the game myself since it wasnt broadcasted so I cant tell how he looked besides the stat sheet.

95-born Lukas Wallmark is likely to make his SEL debut tomorrow.
Coach Anders Forsberg is considering putting Wallmark in the first line, between wingers Bud Holloway & Oscar Möller. "If Lukas plays, he will play in an offensive line".

Thats great. Can you comment on his skating? I watched him in a pre-season game and he looked bigger than I expected but also really slow.

I watched a J20 game of his, he was kinda skating circles around everybody. He's pretty damn fast. But he hasn't played in the SEL yet this season.

Not watching the game, but he has 1 goal + 1 assist tonight, after two periods.

Seems to have been a good debut for Wallmark, played 16 minutes and won 9 out of 11 faceoffs against some really tough competition in guys like Johan Davidsson and Jason Krog.

Anton Lindholm also had his "real" SEL-debut tonight with 8:44 in TOI. Missed the game so sadly I can't comment on their play.

Collberg needs 10 games to reach that total ice time, and Wallmark gets it in his debut.

I have to say that his skating looked pretty damn awkward though, there's a ton of work to be done there. Other than that, played a solid game.

I am definitely going to be coming here a lot more now since I have heard that Lindholm is one of the best playmaking centers in the upcoming draft and a center.

Anyone wanna give more input on him?

As well on wallmark?

Definitely not his strongest asset as he has been held back by his foot and hip injuries, but can't say I've thought about it much when I've seen him in J20. (Then again, lower level of competition.)
Heard it was a boring game but now have to watch it either way

It caught my eyes when he skated up the ice on the forecheck and went chasing behind the net. Looked pretty.. strained. I don't know, better to see for yourself and form an opinion.

Alexander Wennberg just scored his first goal in Allsvenskan and Elias Lindholm will get his first start of the season, he will be cousin Jarnkroks winger on the 2nd/1st line.

Anyone know about Rasmus Bodin's situation with HV71 U20? Haven't seen him in their lineup yet.

Collberg got his first point today, an assist on a GWG. He replaced Magnus Kahnberg on the 1st line after Kahnberg went down with injury during the game. He got some PP time too and he looked solid!

Just from reports sounds like Nystrom is contributing quite nicely in the J20 league.
