Yemelin looks solid. Gill is awful. Gorges is a beast. Diaz needs to get sent down, Weber is better defensively than him. Campoli was good for his first game since last year. Subban is Subban.
This pre-season should just be renamed "Chill out hockey"
I've never heard those two words said as much as I have in the past two weeks.
Considering people have been going overboard all pre-season, I think it's appropriate.
We're 1-6 in the pre-season sure, but this was the first game with anything close to an nhl lineup. I really don't see how the previous 5 losses should reflect anything about the season when 85% of the players in those losses wouldn't even be on the team in the next two years.

Yemelin looks like a solid 7th dman if you ask me.
Desharnais can't handle center duties. He lost defensive puck battles all night, turned over the puck in his own zone many times and just got manhandeled by the opposing team. He was on the ice for 3 goals and 1 disallowed(lecavalier's). Other than his line the game was pretty even.
The habs missed several chances...too many chances, plus two posts.

Your obviously a Gill hater, too many comments on how he sucks from you all the time.
Wake up and see what his game is about.
Yemelin looks like he has a lot to learn about the NHL game still. Diaz is on a learning curve too, but looks more into the game than Yemelin has.
I'm not too worried, shutouts will happen in the regular season too.
This team has seriously no luck whatsoever.
Kostitsyn had a terrible game.
The Kostitsyn-Desharnais-Gallagher line was in over their head tonight. Desharnais shouldn't be playing against the other team's first line, Gallagher's only a 19 year-old, and Kostitsyn (while a decent 2-way player) can't carry a line.
Was Martin matching lines tonight or was Tampa having the Stamkos/St Louis line out against the Habs' 3rd-line for 3 goals just an unhappy end/beginning of a shift coincidence?
just as well, It will make them practice a little harder. The 1st 2 lines looked good, they had their chances. The 4 th line was ok.. Just need to address that 3 rd line.
