On the album Warren also does a song with Dwight Yoakam and Billy Bob Thornton on background vocals. Everytime I hear it I keep thinkin of that movie Slingblade.

That movie really brings out Dwight's good looks and charm.

"Werewolves of London" and "Thomasville Gunner" , not sure if that is the exact name of the song , both are cool. Some of his songs are kind of twisted, but that is whats cool about him.

I'd recommend,

Carmelita
Jeannie Needs a Shooter
Excitable Boy
Things to do in Denver When You're Dead
For My Next Trick I'll Need A Volunteer
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead

That gives you a good representation of his writing style and lyrical genius.

Hey Kolstsov47, just wanted to let you know, I just found out while surfing the net that the new Michale Graves project's name has changed from Graves to Gotham Rd.

Yeah, I sent you a PM about that with an article talking about the new project. Did you get that? It was quite some time ago.

I think their album is due for a 03/04 release.

Regarding Warren Zevon, I caught the last minutes of the special on VH1. Anyone know what the name of the song is that he was singing?

The song that he was recording at home? It was called Keep Me In Your Heart. Sorry I guess I never got the pm about Gotham Rd. I had downloaded a few of Graves songs like 3 years ago and they were really good I hope they appear on the album. I remember one was called Spiderman, one was Irradescent, can't remember the other one. Dr. Chud's in too, should be good.

Thanks MB. When will his (Zevon's) album be released? Or has it already?

Gotham Road... I think they have a demo for sale on their website. Considering picking it up. I really like Graves' vocals.

His new album The Wind was released a few weeks ago, it's very very good. Graves vocals do kick ass. I've been a fan for awhile now. I saw a link to another band named For The Horror on their website that sounded pretty cool. Have you heard anything of theirs Koltsov? Anyway, glad that you at least enjoyed the Zevon stuff a bit.

I downloaded a few songs, and I can definitely tell why so many people like him. Very good music, all around.

I'm poking around on the website... Downloaded clips of the two Gotham Rd. songs. Sounds pretty good to me. I'll download the clips of the band you mentioned, but no I haven't heard any of their stuff previously.

Didn't like them so much. Mutant Misery was an ok song.. But there's something about them I don't like.

That is some good pie. Haven't been there in a while though. If they still get their desserts delivered from USA Gourmet, try the Oreo Cheesecake. It is to die for. It made me go from non-cheesecake eater to avid cheesecaker eater. Waisteline be damned.
