Rosters and links as available.

Random question: What's the hockey temps like at Verizon now? I haven't been in awhile, is it cooler than it used to be? Thanks.

hey cap fans, i had some questions about brouwer.
is brouwer a lock on the 1st line? is he getting top PP time with the big boys also?

will he be a better fantasy option than knuble this year?

Brouwer is definitely not a lock to play 1st line. In fact he might spend a fair portion of the season playing bottom 6. Don't expect him to be a permanent fixture on the top PP unit either.

We have a fantasy questions thread for questions like this. But, no, Brouwer is not a lock for the top line. Boudreau shuffles lines constantly, so he will definitely see some time there, but it's unlikely he become a permanent fixture there. It also depends on if Backstrom or Johansson are centering Ovechkin, as we might be attempting to spread the offense around a little more evenly.

Brouwer, Laich, Knuble, and Ward will all compete for the same spot on the powerplay.

Nice lineup for the game tonight.

Have a feeling we'll see a lot of shuffling of the RWs moving up and down scoring lines this year.

I don't think Roy will be playing tonight, he tweaked his shoulder in one of the Toronto games. It's nothing serious, but there's no reason to risk injuring it worse. He probably will be sitting out unless he is feeling 100%.

Should be a fun game!

I love it when people say miller is overrated. He's exactly as hyped. What a poke check.

Eakin looking real sharp so far. That 3rd line is playing really well.

I dunno if he looked that bad, it almost seems like 55 is lost and looking for an adult half the time he's on the ice.

Ken Sabourin sounds half drunk, was he partyin' with Smokin Al at the Dewar's club before the game?

They're creating on offense but the defense just looks apathetic.

Laich - Backstrom - Semin look dangerous, but they gave up both goals. Eakin has sucked so far.
