At least they looked a lot better. Wideman seems to make things happen.

Only plus from that PP is that it showed a new wrinkle for the Caps 5-on-3 strategy. Like that crossover move.

Was that interference on Brouwer not letting him touch up?

D still looks preseason loose. I'm sure good film break down. The D has got to decide that the ice in front of the goalie is theirs.

Baseball has productive outs. And hockey has productive shots that dont go in. I wish our players would relize that.

youd think theyd learn that taking shots from the blue line against a good goaltender was pointless, especially when theres 4 of the other team in front of him.

Hearing the Scarlet Club ad with Sorenson is now provoking dark thoughts of punching a random stranger.

Some better pressure here in the last few minutes. Dominating O possession.

If Ovy stays healthy and goes at it all year he'll break 100 pts again easily. He looks like the old nimble Ovechkin. Still haven't seen his shot.

Yeah man his speed looks like its back to what it was a couple years ago.

In the grander scheme of things I can see the caps just being OK out of the gate. Mainly because of all the new players.

This PK is going to be important, but I also think its the caps biggest strength from last season and looks like its carrying over

I don't know. They've carried the play when they skate. The O looks dangerous. The only reason they aren't up by 2 or 3 is the occasional brain fart or monumental breakdown on D.

Disturbingly familiar.

These Club Scarlet ads are getting a little bit aggressive.
Nice goal by hendy, that's the only way we're gonna beat these guys is with second chance goals like those.
