That's why it's the "Ontario" Hockey League (OHL), lol.

CHL teams are actually limited to a certain amount of import players per team.

A couple of weeks ago we were saying we were healthy. Not anymore. Rough road trip coming up, and I think the team is the thinnest it has been

First off, I think Ben Chirot will be called up, with Postma and Festerling out.

Maybe Tommy Maxwell comes back too

Dunno if the draft's been mentioned at all, but how do Jets fans feel about Griffin Reinhart? We have those extra 2nds. We could definitely package the highest one with our first to trade up. He's been a beast for the Oil Kings, and would look great in Jets colours, IMO.

There's a draft thread here.
http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...1059611&page=5

And we only have 1 second round pick in the 2012 draft. We currently have 2 for the 2013 draft, and will likely get a 3rd 2nd rounder for 2013 when Daultan Leveille is not signed.

Not to mention we might not even have to trade up to get Reinhart, if we miss playoffs our pick will be 7-10. That's about where he will go.

Ah. My mistake.

I'm trying to be optimistic and hope for the playoffs.

So one 1 three 2's and two 3's for a presumably strong 2013 draft.

Draft well and we can close the talent gap pretty well , albeit it will take several years for them to play in WPG. Still , that is how you build , now just to draft well.

If we pick between 7 to 10 (currently sitting at 9th), I wonder if we'd have a shot at Galchenyuk. I've seen mock drafts with him going as early as 3rd and as late as 16th.

Not to fuss, but were actually sitting in 10th.

I'd like Galchenyuk, but I can't see him making past the Leafs.

Now Maxwell is called up.

Now out for the Caps

Mahachek, Maxwell, O'Dell, Macenauer, Murray, Trotter, Rosa, Festerling, Postma, Meech.

We have 14 point cushion over Manchester for the division. I predict we need every one of them.

Apparently Festerling, or O'Dell may be able to go Wednesday. Murray is travelling with the team, the rest are not.

http://www.thetelegram.com/Sports/20...-news%2C-too/1

Chiarot is coming back as well as Josh Lunden, who was here for a few games last months.

A former collegian Danny Dries has been signed to an ATO.

He played for Ohio State

Scored 13 goals, 9 assists in 28 games. Not bad. 6foot 193 lbs.

Goal! IceCaps snap their scoring drought of nearly 120 minutes to make it 3-1!
King credited with his 19th of the season, from Lunden and Jaffray. Lunden came out front with the wraparound and King tipped it home.

Goal!! Aaron Gagnon follows the play and has the puck bounce in off his skate, but it's a good goal. 3-2 Bears.

Eddie Pasquale

Suddenly the boys are turning into the Leafs.

I can see them going winless on this road trip. If Manchester gets hot......

Looks like Klingberg was injured, and Festerling aggravated his injury as well. This time last month we had almost our whole team. Not sure we make the playoffs now.

Im sure Zinger is working on bringing in some junior players after they get eliminated from the playoffs that could help

A little dramatic, don't you think? They've got a 14 point lead on Manchester with a game in hand, and 11 games to go for the Monarchs, who aren't exactly setting the world on fire either, at 5-4-0-1 in their last 10.

Me loves drama

Manchester looked pretty good here last weekend, but yeah, they are most likely too far back, same for Wooostah.

It should be noted that the upcoming 5 road games are against teams in the playoff mix, Syracuse, Wilkes Barre, a pair against red hot Norfolk, and another against Hershey. I can see them going 0 for 5.

You'd hate to just limp in to the playoffs, though, and one wonders how well they would do if they are in anything like this shape in April.

Well at least it's getting interesting, I'm not in St John's obviously so I don't know the mood of the city about the team, but it's been pretty straight forward for them all season, almost ho-hum, like the regular season doesn't matter too much.

Doesn't look like the Jets are making the post season so the callups would be back by then, I would think.

Telegin just keeps coming doesn't he?

A few years down the road we should have some nice big wingers with speed . Wheeler , Kane , Telegin and Lowry. That should be a very solid corp , now a center or two .
