LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Trent Hunter to a one-year contract, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Very happy about this. He is perfect for that third line right wing slot. That's it for Parse.

Very happy with this. He's a huge body and adds a scoring touch to the 3rd or 4th line. Great depth move imo and I think Parse just got his ticket out unless I'm missing something else.
A better shutdown line would be Moreau-Stoll-Hunter. They could also chip in some offense.
I would rather see Clifford in the fourth line role (energy line), and you could mix and match with Lewis, Richardson, Parse, Loki, and Westgarth, depending on who makes the roster and who we are playing on any given night.
I like the signing, always liked Hunter and I hope he can contribute. I don't mind Parse but I think the injury did him in with LA.
I'd like to see Loktionov on this team but the center spots are just locked down. If he can hang for another year in Manchester/first call up, he'll get Stoll's spot next year no doubt.
Hunter seems to fit that bottom wing role much better.

I hope Parse goes somewhere else and scores 20 goals and all the Monday morning quarterbacks get all ape **** about it. He has had every opportunity find his game in LA and they can't wait around forever hoping he is the next Matt Moulson. Good for him if he is able to figure it out somewhere else.
Wow, nice deal. Isn't Parse's cap hit something like 950k? So, if we waive/trade Parse for Hunter, we get a little cap back. Not much, but it's something.
When healthy he is a very solid player.....You guys wont love his skating but you will like his size and loyalty to his teamates...And when his wrist shot is on he has a nice release...But the coaches will tell him to "shoot more" until thier blue in the face......Good luck to him and hope it works out for him with you guys
