Sources say Robyn Regehr has been asked to waive his no-move clause and accept a trade to the Buffalo Sabres. Details to follow.

I went back and read the articles from 2007 when Regehr signed that deal. Was researching the cap hit and timing of the deal. His quotes were strongly in support of family reasons to stay in Calgary for that dollar amount.

3 years into that deal and with 2 years remaining... I wonder how much he's changed, if at all, in order to accept the move.

Pick #8 and Voracek has been the rumor for a while.

Edit: Tack on a third rounder as well reportedly.

Considering that Philly pretty much had to move him, way overpayment. It might be an overpayment even if Philly wasn't over a barrel. #8 could easily turn into a Carter quality player. Throwing in Voracek is a joke.

Kris versteeg to fla panthers

Not known for reporting rumors but he's one of the few at ESPN aside from Barry / Matt who follow hockey.

Great return for Philly. Shows that even with the cap looming Carter had plenty of suitors... or at least that's how Clb read it.

Versteeg to Florida NOT TRUE. The Other Deal is BIGGER ... apparently involves Richards.

TSNBobMcKenzie Bob McKenzie
Any reports of Kris Versteeg being traded to FLA are false.

So much for that

Wanted no part of Versteeg and don't think its that much of an overpayment for Carter, but he doesn't really compliment Nash well.

If Mike Richards does end up getting moved today that'd be absolutely crazy. Carter & Richards both out? Better be getting something good for their Captain if he's indeed going to be dealt.

Good move for the Blue Jackets.

It depends what the Flyers do with the 8th and the $, could go either way.

I'd rather have Vermette.

GMillerTSN: Mike Richards to LA for a package including Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds? Hearing from good sources that it could happen.

Carter and Richards being traded on offseason, let alone same day, just seems so funny if you remember the Flyers posts about 3-4 years ago.

And if true... ouch.

Unconfirmed reports that Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds would be PHI bound. But not done yet. Could happen. Stay tuned.

As a fan of LA, especially moving back there in a month, that's a tough pill but a fair one.

Love Richards. But I wonder about those rumors of Pronger vs Richards (ie young vs old timers).
