Question for Hershey observers - when in Hershey did Eakin usually play center or wing? Thanks.

He played center the the later part of the season; Aucoin was up on recall to Washington and Hanson was out due to injury. From what I recall, he started the season playing center, shifted to wing when injuries occurred and then switched back to center. Obviously, not cut and dry but that was the general pattern for the season. He plugged in on wing or center and shifted lines based on injuries, but did play center a good bit this season while in Hershey. Obviously, I didn't see as many games as some of the full STHs who post here.

Edit: Also, worth nothing, he received increased time on the PK as the season progressed.

Apparently — per twitter — there's a fire at Hershey arena. Not a lot of news yet, but crews are on the scene.

Update: Need to get a hose to the roof level. Doesn't sound good.

I just saw that, to clarify (not that it's any better or worse) for those reading this not as familiar with the area, it's the old arena. Hoping all is ok and limited damage.

I don't want to listen; FYI, one of the renovations they were/are doing is a new roof, I assume the work is still in progress and likely the cause, argh,

The fire is at the old Hersheypark Arena, not at the Giant Center where the Bears play.

S8 had that covered a couple post up.

It looks like they have water flowing up top at this point. It was right at a finished/unfinished area of the roof. Visually can't see the area but it looks to be on the smaller side just from the firefights and how they're handling it.

In all the excitement I missed the word old and ran with CCF's "Hershey Arena".

They were laying new ice today.

South Carolina's gotta be a little nervous. The ice melts in Washington and Hershey catches fire.

I have so many fun memories of the Hershey Bears playing in that arena. Fun, fun, fun.
