Work release from Chino?
I don't know what the guy said but in my mind everything was said in a heavy Mexi-Cali accent.

That Streit-Mottau pairing is NOT looking like a match made in heaven.

Yep, Streit overcommitted. He has to simply stick to the guy in front of the net and not attempt to compensate for a beat Mottau.
Poor choice of action on his behalf.
In general, I've seen several cases of poor defensive positioning, be it the Dmen or the center.

Just attack Mottaus side and skate around they'll be able to skate around him quite easily./

One thing I noticed...especially near the end of the period...Nielsen-Grabs-Okposo is extremely dangerous. Everytime they're out there...they're cycling, creating chances, and moving the puck. A great line.

this is a very good Islanders team. I'm often irked with Snow's inability to get help on defense (I still am) but the forwards look great and the goaltending will be good too. DiPietro's been the best goalie in the preseason but Montoya/Nabby have also been really sharp. No more Danis, MacDonald!
Mottau is terrible.
MacDonald, Hamonic are so good and Streit is fantastic.
If we can land ONE MORE really good defenseman then this team will make the playoffs!
Tavares looks great out there - I dare say he looks "fast" out there (if you don't compare him with Grabner)
Nielson, Okposo, Grabner look awesome.

I think we should come up with a name for that line. It really is a thing of beauty to watch those three play together.

Hey guys, just came to post because our non-broadcasted, stream-broken, preseason GDT wasn't filled up enough with one to two word responses. Go Bills. The Red Sox are awful, and you KNOW all of them watched every minute of that collapse.
I can troll from the confines of my home GDT, right?

Case in point...right there, Kyle just flicked the puck up ice into an empty-corner...and just like that, Grabs was there on the puck creating a scoring chance. They're really using Grabner's speed to their advantage. An opposing team can't stop them everytime.
