Well we know that it will be defended. By people that would prefer another top pick vs actually starting to turn the ship around and ice a competitive team.

Basically the excuse as usual will be that Tambo is providing the perfect full of holes lineup to suck.

As if he's engineering this result instead of just being incompetent.

They'll be exciting at times, but I expect them to compete for the basement in the NW again.
I'll aknowledge you that and raise you another year of the Canucks not winning the cup...

Eh, it could be worse.

McCabe still has some valuable qualities, but definitely over the hill. He might be a good mentor for the guys on the back-end, esp Petry and hopefully Barker.

Tambo shouldn't make a panic move, but, yeah, agreed with Moonlapse that this is where we found out what he's made of. Barker and Sutton playing top-four minutes?

Fin-nasty!! ... and Lander I thought played well.

Yah, I doubt we'll see any help on the blue-line, but if smid is out that long it would be nice to see some help back there. Mara might be the only half decent not super old D still out there (is he? I think he's still ufa). Be nice to see a couple of these 4th liners get traded for a D we could use though.

I'm the guest here, I consider posting on this board a privilege, not a right considering the circumstances.

Also apologize for those who haven't been as...well respectful. I hate to say it, but the other guys are clearly not here to have a discussion.

I could live with Mara. I'm not all that interested in McCabe.

So about the game, I thought RNH had a really strong performance, even without points. His defensive awareness is not something I expected, especially for an 18 year old.

Also, Cody Hodgson is looking really good for the bad guys side. Looks like he needed a bit of time to start coming into his own, but he's looked good the few times I've seen him...one of the more notable Canucks IMO.

On another subject, who gets cut after tonight. These guys like Lander (Lauder), Harti, O'marra, even Green and Petrell, are going to make it a difficult decision to make.

They compared him a bit to Datsyuk at the draft, have to say I was somewhat skeptical, but he's sure looked like Datsyuk-lite from what I've seen so far.

Although, I'm not sure if they should send him back to Red Deer or not, I'm not sure how physically mature he is for the NHL game but on the other hand, if you send him back to Red Deer he's guaranteed to dominate. I would like to see him in the WJC though, would be great for his development to play on a stage like that, IMO.

Hodgson is looking really good for sure - he's going to be a pest against us going forward . Lauder made a good showing for himself tonight (lol @ cnc ). RNH may not have been on the scoreboard tonight, but i agree that he played well defensively. Our D was tired and it showed, but this was to be expected after last nights game.

I hope the Nucks end up with two suspensions as of tomorrow however...

I'm on the fence still with regards to sending him back. On one hand, like you said, he could dominate and grow. On the other hand, something that Kevin Weeks (I think) said made me think. He was talking about the hit RNH took tonight, and how he tried to dish the puck to someone, which was a Junior move and will not work in the NHL where you do not have the same amount of space (my paraphrasing sucks btw )

So I'm torn between him tearing up Juniors or getting Big Show experience with players who really know what they are doing.
