How high is Bam Bams ceiling?

How many points do you think he will be capable of in his prime?

Lets say he was on a 2nd line and got 3 minutes of PP time a game

I think he'll bang in 18-20 and 20-25 assist. He's a great hitter and physical player though so he'll always have a home.

Really? You think so? Maybe he is. From what I saw of him last year I didn't see a lot of that. It's always hard to tell in such a limited viewing.

Totally serious question but did you get to watch a lot of him in college and Milwaukee and that's where the opinion is coming from?

Probably around a 35-45 point player a year in his prime more than likely.

Most definitely. To me, he was my favorite player for the Preds in playoff time because he ALWAYS stuck up for his teammates and was physical in and around the slot (on the offensive and defensive ends). I was telling people that the way Blake played in the playoffs is how EVERYONE is supposed to play, but so few do. He is a very strong kid that definitely knows his role and plays it well.

If he were healthy, I could see a 40 pt season out of him, which I have to admit, is much more than I ever envisioned when we drafted him and when he was developing. All this hinges on when and where he starts the season. If he spends 1/4 of the season either injured or in Milwaukee getting into shape, then I think 30 pts will be the ceiling.

In his prime I voted for 60, but only because I think he'll break 50. I'm thinking low 50s will be his peak, around 52-53 points. Something like that. He won't get anywhere near that this year but in his peak, sure.

I have a similar opinion. I think he will average a little more than 40 pts per season, but I think his high will be somewhere in the low-to-mid 50s.

I have followed the Preds for a few seasons now, but this is my first season of them being my #1 team. Why "bam bam?" Is it a take of off the "Boom Boom?"

Yes. It bugs me when people call Blake "Boom Boom". He is not Bernie Geoffrion. "Bam Bam" makes perfect sense. If Maurice Richard had a grandson, we wouldn't immediately call him "The Rocket"...

We'd probably call him The Bottle Rocket, or if he wasn't very good, The Sparkler.

Maybe call him "The Roman Candle?" "the Tank Thingie that seems to shoot off shells?"

I put up 50 points. I'm going to say low twenties for goals and low thirties for assists. That's for his breakout year though. I'd say building up to, and the fall afterwards, would probably be up to twenty goals and up to twenty-five assists.
