NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We were doing all the little things right.
We didn't get the two points, but I think we're pretty happy with our effort tonight.
- Dan Girardi

For me, personally, it was a lot easier to play. I think we can build off this.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We managed the puck better tonight. I thought it was a hard game by two teams that battled real hard, battled for every inch on the ice.
Both teams had some good looks, goaltending was good on both sides. Took it to a shootout and tonight we weren’t on the right side of the shootout.
Tonight there were a lot of hits being thrown out there, both sides had to have the willingness to take a hit to make a play.
I liked how we competed and it was a good game.
- Alain Vigneault

Lets toast the Avs and go into the Western Canada roadtrip rolling hard. 1-3-1 in the L5 is not really pretty to look at, all things considered.

Go in. Score more. Play 60 minutes. Done.

Want to see the first line make a comeback from last night. Otherwise, I think we're moving in the right direction.

Two norwegians playing in tonight's game. I don't think that has ever happened in the NHL before.

Edit: Forgot about Myrvold and Shampo Knutsen who played during the same era. Don't know if they ever played against each other though.

Patrick Thoresen ( Oilers) and Ole Kristian Tollefsen ( CBJ), played against each other.. 8 or 9 years ago, I think!

Hopefully Glass is moved up on the first or second line. He could easily take over Kreider's spot.

I have no doubt that if we play with the same intensity we did last night, we'll beat the Avs.

Literally no excuse to be a poor possession team tonight against the Avs.

We should skate circles around this team. Don't like Lindberg at center

Biiiggg Joohnn Miiiitchelll

This team looks pretty good on paper. Plus Blake Comeau is almost guaranteed a goal.
