They better not bring Rundblad up just to sit him as the 7th dman where he could be playing with Bingo or SEL right now.
Kuba-Karlsson is the worst pairing you could ever have, not just because Kuba is in it, but because it also downgrades Karlsson's game, he always sits back with the puck because he's afraid of a turnover by Kuba and will have to cover for him.
The Sens get one problem off their hands by not having to make a decision on Rundblad for another month. Now all they have to do is figure out if they're going to play him or sit him.
Karlsson-Rundblad must be a pairing so that I can watch the simultaneous awesome offensive domination as well as the soul-crushing defensive meltdowns...all in the same shift. Fans would be placed on a roller coaster of emotion everytime they would go over the boards. That would be worth the price of admission alone.
It won't be long before Kuba is riding the pine. If Phillips isn't ready by the beginning of the season Rundblad could see some extended play right away which, IMO, will be perfect for his development. He's really not in a high pressure situation and after he dominated the SEL last year it's a huge step backwards to have him manning the AHL.

That was a really ugly pairing when they played together last year from what I remember.
