problem is Cowen and Gonchar have already developed quite the chemistry together and have looked great. But ya, any d lineup looks great if the only alternative is playing Kuba.

Why is Lee so over-hyped these days?

There's no middle ground with HF. It's either hate him or love him.

He has shown improvement.

Too true. He's shown he can be a #6, so I'm confused as to why some are so gaga over him.

I don't really like Gonchar and Rundblad together. I'd rather not have two players who are not amazing defensively playing together. But I am sure something can be figured out.

Although, I am going to assume that Gonchar will play a bit better this year, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

It seemed to me that Rundblad and Gonchar had some chemistry in the preseason.¨They at least looked good together on the PP.

Because he has looked better than Philips thats why, he made Philips look competent last year and made him look decent in the preseason, the one game where Philips didn't play with Lee was Philip's worst game.

I am not kidding when I say I would rather have Lee in our top 4 than Philips, Carkner or Kuba.

He is faster, meaner and more physical, smarter and has better hands than those 3, can keep up with the play and skate the puck out of his zone unlike those 3.

I'm assuming because he's on a supposed 1st pairing? It's moreso to do with his chemistry with Phillips than him being overhyped.

Phillips - Lee was a solid pairing down the stretch lat year and Lee has looked good in preseason.

I don't see anyone over-hyping him, it's a well known fact that he's our other "shutdown" D.

Oh yeah, on the PP they looked good. And they should be together on the PP. But I'm more talking 5 on 5 play. I'd rather Rundblad with more of a defensive defensemen.
