Larsson will probably get 22 minutes a night so it's pretty hard not for him to make the biggest impact both good and bad this season.

Larrson from the people you have listed, the most playing and power play time which should equal some good point totals.

Landeskog and Zibinejad should be on the list too. Landeskog will get a good playing time with the Avs and Zibinejad could very well be the 2nd line centre in Ottawa.

If Adam is on the list, then I'm going with Stefan Elliott.

Scott Howson is on Edmonton radio quite a bit and he suggested that Johansen would likely be sheltered this season. I don't see him really being put in a situation to make more of an impact than everyone else on that list.

I think it's very possible that only Larsson stays in the big league the entire season out of those... hence it should be him. But if RNH stays the entire season he would be getting top minutes on a very young promising line which would probably score alot but I think they would get eaten alive this year..

RNH or Larsson

I thought I read somewhere that he would almost certainly only be up for 9 games.. untrue?

it looks like Scheifele will be staying up (depending on the 9 games of course).....

Winnipeg coach Claude Noel said he would be "stunned" if rookie Mark Scheifele doesn't spend the entire 2011-12 season in the NHL.
"Stunned. You watch him, he has high hockey intellect and I've said that all along," said the Jets bench boss. "He is clever and his teammates realize it. He's smart. I'll be stunned. I'll guarantee you, he'd have to be a complete failure in these nine games. He also knows he's here day-by-day and he's not guaranteed anything, but I would be stunned to see him go back. And we'll make that assessment. I don't want to sound boastful, but I'd be stunned." Scheifele may start the year with Kyle Wellwood and Evander Kane as his linemates on the second unit.

Awards:
For some background: Adam at the moment has been playing in pre-season between Vanek and Pominville on the Sabres #1 line. Roy is back at practice, but is working with Gerbe and Stafford, so at least for the moment, Adam looks like he'll be getting some prime ES time.

If he flounders at all, he'll be heading back to the AHL for more seasoning. He may also be sent back depending on Hecht's health since they have very little cap room right now and likely won't carry a prospect as a spare forward.

IMO unless Connolly wows he doesn't make it past 9 games.

That being said I think he has to be one of the favourites for the Calder in 12-13.

I say he has a better chance of grabbing the calder than Zibby, Rundblad or DaCosta.

I would even go far and say that he will be our best overall dman by the end of the season.

Rookie class of the 2012-13 season will be very good; Connolly, Kuznetsov, Granlund, Yakupov, Tarasenko...

Him and that guy will both get the opportunity required to have a shot at that award.

A sleeper, but keep an eye out for Craig Smith from the Preds.

Agreed he isnt a dead cert, but he has a great shot. He will step into a top 6 role, on a top PP. He could rack up a lot of points.

Don't forget Schwartz. He's better than Tarasenko, but no one talks about him.
