Looks really solid everywhere but between the pipes. I don't really have faith in Roloson to keep his play up at a high level. Could be wrong though.

Vokoun is very solid though and should put up a ton of wins backstopping the Capitals. Roloson has defied the odds for years now, I can still see him playing at a respectable level, Tampa is a good enough team to inflate his numbers a bit too.

Nooooooooo.

That 1st can be used on a MUCH better prospect then Tarasenko. Yakupov, Grigorenko, Murray, Reinhart, Galchenyuk. Trust me, the 2012 prospects are gonna be big.

I sort of had this logic when I picked Roly. Cup contender by most people. I doubt they'll have the confidence to put Garon in for > 25 games, so I assumed he would be getting most of the starts.

I had the 8th pick, I was really torn between Malkin and H. Sedin. I could have sure fire points, or a semi-gamble that could have been a steal.

My concern is moreso the D, but there are always options available.

Just drafted with the first pick, and I think my team is stacked. Went with a couple of guys hurt last year.

Getzlaf
Crosby
Ovechkin
Parise
Selanne
Backes
Tavares
Ribiero

Big Buff
Visnovsky
Seabrook
John Carlson

Hiller
Kiprusoff

Then have my bench
Shattenkirk
Ladd
Eric Cole
Grabner
Pavelec

In leagues with only like 10 players, everyone has a stacked team. That one posted above couldn't have more than 12 people.

Mine was a ten team league. Crosby fell to the last pick in the 2nd, and Parise fell far to the last pick in the 4th

Everyone in my league lives in NY, I don't think they know much about the Ducks so I was able to steal Lubo and Hiller lol

I'll join. Playing in two leagues this season, but one of them really is just for fun with a lot of guys playing for the first time, and a lot of guys that aren't really too familiar with the league beyond the top stars.

The other one's great, though. 12 team H2H partial keeper league in its 3rd season, and pretty much everyone with a decent depth knowledge of the league. 8 skater categories (including PIMs, hits and blocked shots), and 4 for goalies. My team:

C Steven Stamkos (K)
C/RW Danny Briere (K)
C Steve Ott
C Derick Brassard
LW Bobby Ryan (K)
LW/RW Shane Doan
LW/C Andy MacDonald
LW Max Pacioretty
LW Wojtek Wolski
RW/LW Rick Nash (K)
RW Jaromir Jagr
RW/C Jeff Skinner (K)
RW Devin Setoguchi
RW Blake Wheeler

D Zdeno Chara (K)
D Brent Burns
D Chris Pronger
D Tyler Myers
D Dmitry Kulikov
D Tim Gleason

G Pekka Rinne (K)
G Roberto Luongo (K)
G Semyon Varlamov
G Jonathan Bernier

The (K)s were my eight keepers going into the season. I had a pretty stacked team last season that dominated, only to pull a San Jose in the playoffs. I went with Skinner as my 8th keeper over Benn, Letang and JVR. The latter three all went in the first round before my pick. All summer it was my priority to somehow get Benn back, but when I made my pick I for some reason thought he'd be back four picks later for a 2nd rounder I acquired earlier. So I went on to pick Jagr, and needless to say, the guy right after me takes Benn. Oh well. Five of my non-keepers ended up going in the first round (Roy and Vinny being the others). Pretty happy with the new group as well, though. A tad more defensive-heavy than I used to like, but since we replaced SHPs with Blocked Shots this offseason, that might turn out decent.

Yea other teams pretty much are auto-ing or picking dumb picks...like Tim Thomas in the 1st round.

And ShadowDuck's draft is pretty lol status. Crosby Ovechkin Getzlaf Parise. It almost seems like there's only 5 teams in that league. He could put 3rd liner's in for the other positions and probably still win the league hahaha.

Most users pick homer picks while the smart people that want to win pick the BPA. Basically it.

H2H 10 teams League:

Ovechkin-Getzlaf-Gaborik (that would be a DREAM line in reality)
Umberger-Staal-Pominville
Doan-Thornton-Alfredsson
Ladd-Spezza-McDonald
Kulemin

Chara-Edler
Timonen-Hedman

Thomas
Ward
Brodeur

I'm in a 100 dollar buy in league this year, with 16 teams, and had to pick last, but I feel like I did a decent job.
Centers:Getzlaf, Lecavlier
Left Wing: JVR, Penner
Right Wing: Kessel, Grabner
Defense: Weber, Fowler, Shattenkirk, Hamonic
Goalies: Miller, Hiller
Bench: Alfredsson, Mueller, Tyutin, Nugent-Hopkins

I am really hoping that Penner brings his game this season playing next to Kopitar, plus I believe it's a contract year for the "Large Human". My goaltending tandem is probably the best in the league, the only other one is a team with both Quick and Howard. I was happy to get Getzlaf, but I had to take him over a few guys that I was looking at that may end up with better seasons like Kopitar and Giroux, but I'll live. I am thinking about dropping Mueller and picking up Lupul, anyone have any input?

If Mueller stays healthy he could be a lethal combo with Duchene. Lupul won't have that kind of 60 pt potential imo playing with Kessel/whoever @ center. Lupul will likely stay on the waiver wire a little longer imo

Lol...no. Stamkos is good...and I see the sarcasm face...but no. I didn't give up Stamkos by himself for less than that.

I was offered Ryan and Berglund for Kessel and RNH, what do you guys think? I'm tempted because of kessel's streaky-ness. I countered with Kessel and Weber for Perry and Burns.

I've got a question for you guys. I've seen a lot of other team boards who participate in yearly Fantasy dynasty leagues. Is anyone interested in forming one next year?

I'm in one at the moment and it's a lot of fun. It works just like a yahoo keeper league but with big rosters, a yearly draft, and the option to keep any player you want. Basically at the end of the year you take players out of your roster and put them into the draft to get a chance at drafting better players+rookies from that year's draft. The rest of the picks are used to keep the players already in your roster that you want to carry over into the next season. It would also include a large bench so you can hold rights to star prospects. Sort of like a farm team.

So is anyone interested in doing this? I think it would be a good thing for the fan community around here. There would have to be a cap on the number of teams to maintain team depth. I'd say about 16 as a maximum.

So so far the list is

1.) DuckJet
2.) Kalvinators
