Decent 4th line banger. Can't fight to save his life though.

Edit: Also.

I've seen a few Rangers fans say he can't really skate, but to be honest I have no clue who this guy is so I'm just taking their word for it. Though all he really has to do is be better then Oreskovich.

Very cut and dry bottom 6er, can't fight to save his life, no real offensive prowess, but plays a bottom 6 role sufficiently with some grit and heart, not really a loss in my book aside from one for CTWhale.

Gonna miss him, I was hoping his hard work the past couple years was going to pay off for him & us this year.

Selfishly I was hoping he stuck around for at least this season if not on the team then as a call up. But I'm glad he got picked up and hope he cracks the Nucks line up.

Decent AHL fighter & 40+pt scorer, bad NHL fighter kind of in the mold of Voros. Had the "A" with Hartford at times & was Captain when he was with the Swift Curent Broncos. His skating improved year after year and he has a nack for knocking guys off the puck and getting the puck to an open opponent while he heads strait to the net for a rebound. Playes good along the boards too. Like said above, good 4th liner, potential for solid 3rd line play in the next few years is my opinion as he held a tight grip on top6 minutes in the AHL.

This is probably why the Canucks picked him up. Good energy player with the ability to create some offense with Lapierre.

Solid 4th liner with some upside to be a 3rd liner.

Good pick-up. I was a big fan of his when we drafted him and I wished he got more playing time with us. Just didn't have the room for him in NY. Hope he does well up there!

At $605K, Weise came in at $100K+ cheaper than Winchester would have been. Win!

I know it's a joke, but Boston was higher on the priority list than Vancouver (who was last).

If he plays with the Sedins, he'll be a 60 point player, easily.
With Hodgson, he'll be a 200 point player.

Hopefully he wont be Tanner Glass 2.0

He's not as good of a skater as Oreskovich, but not terrible either. Seems to have more drive to succeed than Oreo, had produced more at a younger age and will actually fight. Their both terrible fighters, so no real bonus there except that he'll fight more than Oreo.

The fact that he bangs more than Oreo is a bonus. Not sure if his hits are as big as some of Oreo's, so the book is out there.

If the Canucks scouts like him better than Oreo, that's good enough for me as Oreo wasn't getting it done.
