As we're more looking for a defensive defenseman: Other than McCabe, are there any other noteworthy free agent defensemen?

I will say that it is definitely always easier to say what a team should have done watching the game from the stands haha

I don't think we're really missing either Lundin or R. Jones all that much.
Bergeron is more than adequate at making up the defensive lapses they'd provide.

I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on Mara. Would be an upgrade over Gervais.

I am still pissed we got rid of Lundin.. he's not great for playoffs thanks to the physicality bar, but in the season he was one of the best.

We didn't really get rid of him, sounded like his agent got rid of us.

Lightning D Ohlund took a step, though a brief one, today by skating for the first time since knee surgery. His return still a long way off

Lightning's Malone is day-to-day with an unspecific upper-body injury, though team says it is not related to surgically repaired shoulder.
Hopefully it's the same kind of day to day that Brewers injury was. As in he'll be back next game.

Malone was hurt during Saturday's win over the Jets, but apparently continued to play. St. Louis is out for body maintenance.

Lightning D Hedman, who skated in warmups, scratched with upper-body injury sustained, apparently, vs Chicago. He is day-to-day. Gervais in.

Malone was injured while scoring a goal in the second period, according to Boucher, and did not return for the third. Malone missed practice last Monday while undergoing testing for what was called an upper-body injury. Tests came back negative and he did not miss any time.
Boucher said the latest injury for Malone is unrelated to what he was tested for last week.

Injured Hedman and Malone not on ice today for Lightning. Officially upper-body and day to day.

Lightning coach Boucher says Hedman and Malone, both with upper body injuries will not play Wednesday vs Flyers.

I really hate the non specificity of NHL injury reports.

That's the official filing. If you look online, you could probably find out specifically what's wrong.

Ryan Malone left with an upper-body injury sustained when he scored to make it 3-1 with 3:40 left in the second period.

Based on the video, I'd say he tweaked his back.
