From ESPN's fantasy section:

Quote:
Spin: Malone suffered the injury against Florida on Sunday. The Lightning haven't indicated the injury to be a long-term concern, so November 12th against St. Louis should be in play for his return.
Kinda contradicting though: They also made him IR eligible.

Who? ESPN? They're doing it for their game.

Everybody is IR eligible IRL, if they are injured somehow, and could conceivably be out of the lineup for 7 days.

Yeah, but he was injured on Sunday and they write he could return on Saturday.

Coach Guy Boucher said LW Ryan Malone (upper body) might be ready for the weekend.

D Victor Hedman (upper body) will take longer, perhaps up to two weeks.

And D Mattias Ohlund (knees), who has yet to play a regular-season game, "is not close." Ohlund, who had arthroscopic surgeries on both knees, is skating on his own but lightly. GM Steve Yzerman has said Ohlund could be out up to two months.

Hedman now DTD from "out 1-2 weeks":
Quote:

#tblightning D Victor Hedman on the ice for morning skate, is a game time decision, big change on his status from yesterday

Edit: Hedman and Malone out tonight, could possibly play Monday:
Quote:
erlendssontrib Erik Erlendsson
Victor Hedman says he's out tonight, was packing his gear, but Monday is a possibility; had long practice and was last off the ice
Quote:

For those asking about Ryan Malone, he's still not skating but Guy Boucher said they are hopeful for Monday in Winnipeg

Lightning coach Boucher says injured LW Malone has "minimal" chance to play Thurs vs Pens. RW Purcell (ill) also might be out.

Lightning coach Boucher said Ohlund "close," though that's relative as he also said Ohlund still looking at one to two weeks before playing.

I wonder what happens when Ohlund gets back. The only locks are Brewer, Hedman, and MAB. Don't want to scratch Gilroy either.

Kubina is the only deserving to sit. It should be him, but it'll probably be Gilroy. Which is lame.

I think Gervais would be waived and sent down or just bought out.

Buyouts can't happen now anyway. The only way to get out of a contract midseason is to terminate it which he would have to agree to like Ritola.

Lightning coach Boucher says Pyatt (upper body) likely to play Tues vs Leafs. Bergeron (lower body sustained vs Devils)) might not play.
It is not good when the potential of losing MAB from the starting defense corps could mean disaster.

Yeah, MAB probably hurt himself chopping his stick down on the ice as he likes to do.

Apparently Gilroy is hurt too but "could be okay" (Boucher): http://video.lightning.nhl.com/video...d=55&id=136679 (right at the end)

To specify, Gilroy 'could be okay' for tomorrow's game. I didn't want to leave it open ended.

Is Bouch good? It could be the atmosphere change in the rink compared to outside, but his nose usually doesn't seem as runny as it did there.

Sounds like he has a cold or something.

Boucher (possible cold, will coach)

Sometimes illness is good for a coach, as Boucher might need to get across ideas, notably 'more intensity' non-verbally. Especially if he ends up with a sore throat or something. The things they figure out can be used from then on as shorthand.

That might already be in part trained into them from having Marty Raymond threaten them with a pizza wheel.
