Nice salary. An extra 100k that says, "We're rolling the dice, but we know you're a swell guy."
I prefer to think of it as a bonus for his service during that Cup run.

I don't buy the need for veteran play when you have so many already. Larsson already plays like a 2nd or 3rd year player and Fayne looks better each game to me... I just don't get it.
I'd much rather have Taormina there to slide in and add speed and offense. I remember he had the uncanny ability to get hard shots through traffic low and on net. His speed was superb too... argh.
Dump Fraser to the curb somehow, someway. He's blocking the rest of the young D corps.
Ya, I don't understand why they're so hot after Stralman either.
I'm fine with Fraser in the seventh defenceman role for now. Salvador and Volchenkov are the two defencemen who are most likely to need a day off, or get injured, and Fraser can slide into that role easier than Stralman or Taormina could.
I think Tao and Urbom will get a look sometime this year, but I don't think either should be a regular in the NHL right now.
great news!! rg, since fatherly juices avy doesn’t make sense anymore, im going to find images for the ‘welcome back kotter’ screen shot, but with it saying welcome back pizza and a pizza in the middle? ah, I’ll be in the rg thread.

I'm pretty sure tryingout with Devils has nothing to do with the money in Czech rep.
He tried out because he wanted a chance to continue playing in the top league in the world. He seized the chance, and now he's back. It was never about the money.

exactly my point. I believe he said himself that he would go for a ride with only one team in NHL ...

Wasn't meaning anything bad by it. But i guess we all expected him to receive more money than the 650k. But i am curious what he was making there. Is his wife American also? that could play into it.
