Erik Cole article

Great article about Cole.

Thoughts? And what do you believe Cole brings to the table this year?

I love Cole.

Not only is he a powerforward, something we've needed for a while, but he's a leader and a stand-up guy.

Obvious Team Cancer, why can't he be more like Sergei Kostitsyn?

I don't love his contract, but I think it was worth it as he fits what we needed as good as any non-elite player. He should make our 5 on 5 play much better, and seems to be another high character guy.

The only thing I'm concerned with is how he will hold up. He's not exactly young.

Overpaying for a fast-skating power forward was the only way to get him to sign here. I think we'll end up buying him out for the final year.

Wait what? Love him for his competitiveness, but hate him for not playing hard? (talking about this: http://www.985sports.ca/hockey/nouve...le-100116.html )

Very bizarre.

Nonsense. He even misspelled Erik. And I think Cole was playing with DD because Martin probably wanted him to be more familiar with the team as a whole and not just the top line in case he shuffles the lines mid-season like Martin always does.

You mean in 2 years when the cap is 65M+ and his salary takes up 2.82% of the total salary cap?

I don't think so.

I said from the start of the summer the only player that I wanted the habs to sign was Cole (and Markov ). Amazing move, great leader, extremely need scoring depth + a powerforward to boot.

Adds to our core of team work vs individual work.

The sum of a team effort will always beat the sum of an individual effort.

Dany Dubé... They are actually talking about that to on TVA Sport's Le Match. What a joke lol. Perfect exemple of media copy-pasting information they saw somewhere. It's like if only HF crowd saw Cole perform well during preseason. We really should come out with some sort of podcast formula where we host our HF show and actually talk about the real things and not some random none-sense.

Don't go overboard with your criticism. Dany Dube is a great play analyst, he explains some of JM's intricated strategies and line mixup with very deep insight, while it's happening in front of him.

He's a crappy editorialist, he doesn't know jack **** about off the ice behavior and relations, and can't seem to admit when he's wrong about a certain point of view he adopted.

He's good in part, bad in others.
