Never got the turtlenecks, but as far as innovation goes....one of the best of our time. RIP.

George McPhee....The Teflon GM. 15 years of failure and counting....
6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
The funny part is seeing the hipsters without jobs who are behind Occupy Wall Street crying over Steve Jobs. No ******* clue how the world works.
Props for the iPod and Smartphone invovations as they pushed the envelope. However regarding Macs I'm humbly impressed at how they were able to overcharge the non-gamers with sub-standard hardware who simply wanted to be 'different' and instead of being the 90% who eat oranges to be just the 10% that wanted to be apples.

The best trick was taking the keyboard off of tablets, then doubling the price, then selling the keyboard as an accessory.

So true as well as the obsene about of accessories.
On the tablet future front...reading about the Windows8 tablet front and potentially having PC level touch screen hardware is appealing. Come one now touch screen Crysis!!
Food trucks are where it's at for me before games. Eat Wonky is godly. Though Graffiato might be visited many times this season.
Isn't "Eat Wonky" the one with poutine? Re: crap beer... well, I'm not exactly drinking it for the flavor. I have my sipping beers of choice and most of them can't be had here unfortunately. Most nights I'm just trying to stay cheap. No need to get fancy when I'm just going to end up having no recollection of why I thought what I thought of it (I usually try a new beer when I'm not drinking crap).
So he's a Bill Gates that doesn't Billions (literally) to Charity. BFD. The Cult of Mac is getting ridiculous.
edit; Wow. I'm surprised "BFD" isn't censored on these boards.
Yeah. Steve Jobs was a great innovator and businessman. He fundamentally changed the world's technology and how we use it in our everyday lives. But I don't understand why he's being mourned like he was such a great human being. Dude nixed Apple's philanthropy program and hasn't donated a dime of his billions to charity, AFAIK.
Steve Jobs changed technology sure, but so did dozens upon dozens if not hundreds upon hundreds of people in the same era to the same extent if not more. The difference is those people aren't getting rich, keeping it all to themselves.

Let me first state, I was an Apple hater for a long time and hold zero reverence for Jobs.....but....
As far as technology innovaters in modern time, he's up there with Gates and who else as far as peers?
I think with Jobs it wasn't even so much the technology itself, but rather the marketing of technology to the point where he could justify taking the bigger risks.
